Upgraded to a rental house. Clean, nice and quiet. Michael was pleasant and easy to work with

While room itself was clean enough, the tiny bathroom was usable but badly in need of an update. Baseboard heating unit was rusty and nasty, flooring was peeling up, entire room tilts toward the street (end room). Not a good value for what I paid. Fortunately, it was a one night stay.

Property was not cleaned, coffee pot still had grounds from whenever it was last used. Mattress was so old it was like cement. Lots of cob webs, Kleenex left on floor by the bed so obviously not vacuumed. Hair in shower…..

The room was very clean. The room had one chair and no nightstand. One has to sit on the end of the bed to work at the table. The A/C unit sounded like a landing jet engaging its engine reversers. The bed was uncomfortably firm (I prefer a firm bed but this was like sleeping on a plank). The front desk folks were friendly and hospitable but checking in inexplicably took fifteen long minutes, and checking out was unnecessarily complicated. Woe to anyone with small children, as sharp corners and dangling power strips could prove dangerous. The fridge froze all my pop solid. I cannot recommend this hotel, unless in a pinch. A generous two-stars.

THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH FOR A 1 SAR. THE ROOM WAS COLD BECAUSE THE WINDOW AROUND THE AIR CONDITIONER LEAK ENOUGH WIND BLOWN AIR TO OPEN THE CURTIN. THERE ANSWER WAS TURN UP THE HEAT,BUT IT WOULDN'T KEEP UP

floor of room 20 was not level, tiles falling off the shower wall, shower faucet was backwards and broke, toilet did flush all the way, bed was rickety and mattress was flat, bathroom window shade missing slats.

The hotel is smiley and the carpet is dirty. We actually bought a candle to at least give us a fresh air inside the room.

Garbage from previous guest was not empty. Wires from tv just hanging to the floor. Cobb webs in corners. Room wasn’t served during the stay (2 nights).

The property is dated, and the room was cramped. But the staff was friendly, and the location is good for all things Pictured Rocks.

Small, quaint and personal.

Room very dated. No table to eat at. Very small fridge. Old microwave. No luggage rack. Bathroom small and dated. Very hot water. Bed was comfy but headboard squeaked.

Great location! Easy access from main road! Clean room with standard features. The only things we needed that weren’t in the room: 1. Hangers for clothes, and 2. Another mirror so one person can blow dry their hair while the other is in the washroom. Excellent service.

The bathroom floor is sloped, the toilet is a concern going through the floor, the linoleum is cracked around the toilet appears to be sinking down. Linoleum is peeled and curled up around the tub, heat register and toilet. Spider webs around the ceiling areas. Ceiling light fixture hanging from the ceiling. The Electrical outlets, we tried charging our phones and they fell out of the outlet. Carpet is old, stained and smells musty. They offered a breakfast,( it was juice , coffee, danish and a granola bar). The tile was painted and mold in the area where caulking was needed. Stained ceilings. The main room the bed area, one bed on two opposite walls maybe two feet apart. The floor sloops going into the bathroom. This room has concerns for a handicapped person…

We stayed 2 nights, things were a little tight. No hooks or towel bar in bathroom to hang anything. Electrical outlets were either hard to reach or wouldn't hold a plug in place. Bathtub didn't drain well and tile looked loose in tub. Took picture of power strip, this can't be safe! Had tv, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc all plugged in! Also on busy/ noisy road. We did sleep well the beds were comfortable.

We checked in with a small dog. No one had cleaned under the bed for what appeared to be a long while and we found pills under the bed. We panicked that our pet may have ingested one. There were several there, different types. We immediately left without spending the night.

Staff was helpful and it's close to downtown

Very helpful staff. Very clean and cozy. Some trim coming off around tub in #12 and panels slightly loose in shower in #16- concerned water from shower may cause some issues eventually. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

Great basic motel super convenient for Pictured Rocks. Staff is incredibly nice, beds are comfortable.

This was old and needs many updates. There was no fan in bathroom and the tile and bathtub were old. Slept good though. Price was a bit high for what we got.

We stayed at the Superior Motel in June. and we were more than pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in the end room near the highway, and there is some road noise, but not a problem. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 2 nights here at the tail end of our Munising vacation. We had a one bedroom with kitchen. The queen bed was more.comfortable than the air BNB we had been staying in! Ceiling fans in living area and bedroom were perfect. Window AC kept us cool. Kitchen had everything we needed. Appliances are not new, but are functional. Appreciated coffeemaker and filters. I do wish it had a full size fridge. Bathroom was small but clean. Pet friendly was a plus! The place could use an update- fresh carpet/paint/ furniture. My teen sons and I affectionately referred to the Superior Motel as the "Rosebud Motel" for any Schitt's Creek fans. We enjoyed it and would stay there again.

Property was clean, staff was friendly, bed was comfortable. Not a lot of area for pets, property was older, and had an odd layout. Munising is a popular area in the summer, and the motel was right on the highway. Biggest issue was the price - it was expensive for what it offered.

Room was at the end of the facility and next to the road. Lots of traffic noise. Impossible to get the room dark. Light from the street reflected off a mirror and illuminated the room.

The room was nothing like the room in the photos… even had a dirty washcloth hanging from the bathroom shower.

This property is horrible, one of the worst we've stayed in. I don't know if it was just our room but they wouldn't move us. It's dated, tiny and not well kept. The bathroom isn't big enough for 2 people to stand in. The small stand up shower stall is less than 3 foot by 3 foot and yes, no tub. Sort of feels like camp as a kid. If all rooms are like this then they are charging at least twice what they're worth. If you must book here, do not take room 23.

Was close to all the attractions, staff was friendly, motel was a little run down but worked for what we needed

Could be updated, the only thing that i have to complain about was we had to make sure the toilet filled after flushed. We had to go into the tank and activate the float so it would fill. Other than that it was good.

We rented a very spacious 2 bedroom suite. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. My only negative is that the kitchen had extremely old appliances, they could use an upgrade.

We were greeted by George. Wonderful and friendly. Gave good tips on what to see. The room itself was dated and needed a deep clean. Honestly though it was a good stay in general.

the most expensive hotel of our UP trip and was the most unpleasant. It was loud with street noise, dirty, sticky, the walls were scraped up like someone trying to claw their way out, broken window, shower with only one setting, fire hose. no bedside tables near the bed right inside the door, the plugs are all so old that your electronics plugs fall right out, there’s a window in the door that shines all light right into your face while you sleep. furniture was smelly and old, my kids who normally notice nothing because they are easily overjoyed were like “I think this place is….old.” We were next to the room where the cleaning arrive stored it’s stuff and the maid was smoking and it seeped through the wall. The kicker was that when I turned on the sink in the bathroom water poured out the pipes onto the floor. The front desk human was nice and helpful when I checked in. The only thing that was nice was that the two beds were in different rooms, but I would never stay here again or recommend it. We stayed in mackinaw city at a place literally half the price that was also dated/old but wasn’t disgusting and non-functional. I never know what to believe in reviews because sometimes people are like “it was horrible” if they don’t like the sheets but this hotel is really bad, and it’s not an aesthetic issue. When I told the lady at the front desk about the pipes pouring water as I was checking out she tsk tsked and wrote it down on plain paper under other peoples complaints.

Friendly and inviting desk staff, room was clean and comfortable. The small establishment, up-north vibe drew me here and I was not let down.

We enjoyed our stay and would love to go back sometime in the future. The beds were very comfortable, having a tub instead of a shower was great. The fact that the door had a deadbolt made us feel safe.
5.0
It’s a cozy little place and the desk person was super nice. The issue was the ac wasn’t up to snuff and the room was quite warm and humid all night. The outlets are loose and nothing stayed plugged in. That’s a problem when you need to charge a phone or run a CPap machine.
