Absolutely amazing stay! We walked to the Live Oak Amphitheater, and some bars downtown! Super quick walk, and great area!

We enjoyed the room, the view, and the breakfast buffet. Biggest downside was that the mattresses were uncomfortable. $300 for a night and $50 security deposit to then find out it's an additional $22 to park on the parking deck, felt excessive.

The hotel was perfectly located for our visit.
The morning breakfast staff was really good and did a good job for such a busy time.

Very disappointing. View of the garage. Asked if we could move and we're told...NO. BECAUSE YOU BOOKED THROUGH HOTEL.COM. BOOK DIRECTLY AT HOTEL OR THROUGH HILTON, NO PROBLEM.
This trip was to celebrate our 52nd Anniversary. Front desk response...so what. Not cool.
No towel rack in the bathroom. Just one hook. Three brackets on the wall clearly showing something was MIA.
Yeah, my response...NO MORE EMBASSY SUITES. Definitely not a SWEET experience.

Had a great, relaxing stay! Breakfasts were very good and service from all was top shelf.

Excellent service, amenities and with so many extras! Complimentary cocktails and breakfast were a welcomed surprise. The rooms were pristine. The coffee shop, restaurant STEAM and the workout facility were excellent. I highly recommend Embassy suites for any occasion.

Front desk check-in did not include the complimentary waters nor was there any mention of the amenities, breakfast or the complimentary bar drink. Our room was okay but things like dusting the lamps was not done as an example - not being sensitive about it, just an honest observation. The morning after our first night was met with the sound of hammering and construction which went on for the whole day as the hotel was re-doing the carpet on the floor above ours.. on a weekend... with peak occupancy. Make it make sense. So really our "comfortable" stay wasn't as planned given that you travel a distance in hopes of relaxing at a planned vacation but again the hotel General Manager schedules/plans for this type of hotel maintenance to be performed on a weekend - seriously? There is clearly some great staff, hotel mgmt aside, there are some great frint desk folks like Khaled but certainly not the lady who checked us in as it was more of just getting it done and having us sign the oet waiver - again failing to mention anything regarding amenities or our stay. The housekeeping staff does a good job as I know they are probably overworked so some details will undoubtably get through the cracks. Please take this review into consideration as we've stayed there before and had a world of difference regarding our stay experience at this Embassy Suites.

The location is great with the river walk right there and so many restaurant options, but the rooms are just ok. They need to be updated and brightened up. Our room had a bad smell in it and stains on the floor. It’s way over-priced for what you get. However, the people that work there are very kind and helpful. I would not stay there again though.

The hotel was great and everyone was super friendly and helpful. The only issues we had was the construction on the floor above us during the day and the house keeping lady knocked on our door 3x before check out time before we left that day. Otherwise was a great stay!

Found long hair on shower curtain and brown spot on top cover of bed.

Great property. Friendly staff. It would all be perfect if they could figure out how to make the breakfast a little better. Hot food is cold. Scrambled eggs were green from being overcooked. This is the second week-long stay here over the last 5 months and I experienced the same issues with the breakfast.

Amazing time, my only two complaints are that the Rooftop bar was closed for renovations, and the black-out curtains caused us to oversleep. I guess that is not really a complaint, but when you wake up at 10:48 and the hotel would not give a late check-out it becomes problematic. We will return in the very near future.

This was my first time traveling with my baby away from home and Alexis was so helpful and sweet to me during check-in despite appearing to be the only one at the desk to address phone calls and check-in requests! That type of courtesy is beyond hard to find nowadays, and it helped me from a rough early morning travel! Self parking is $22/day with in and out benefits in the adjacent convention parking deck (has designated signs/spots for the hotel). $50 accidental fee charged at check in but it cleared off my credit card the next day after I checked out. Hotel room was perfectly clean and organized. There is a cafe nearby the elevators. Big pool and exercise room that requires the hotel card key for access. Saw a lot of families enjoying it despite the cold so I assume the pool must've been warm. This hotel has perfect access to the boardwalk. The rooftop bar was closed during the winter so that was a bummer. Overall, I would definitely return!

We have stayed here twice this year. Great every time. Strongly recommend.

This property has the worst front office and housekeeping staff. Out of 6 employees I managed to talk to, 5 were full of lies. I can name them all. All I want for them to check is a pair of pants I left in the closet. The 5 employees after chasing for 2 days, only 1 who is decent enough to talk to me and offered help. The rest of the 5 were just promising to get back to me but never did. WORST HOTEL FRONT OFFICE STAFF I encountered. I am a platinum user of Orbitz. I travel a lot. This hotel is the Universe's worst customer service.

Staff excellent. Dining experience was great.

Overall my stay was good. The omelette at breakfast was delicious. Wish they had a waffle maker or pancake maker so that would’ve been fresher. The room was spacious. I did have hair on my towels but I always bring my own anyway. The receptionist when I checked in was great but the receptionist when I checked out was outstanding. She made everything quick and easy. I’m not sure her name but it was early morning Xmas eve when I checked out. She needs some props for customer service. Riverfront view was beautiful. I’ll be staying here again.

Plan to stay there again. Friendly staff. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go.

The cleaniless was awful. Hair everywhere. No detail cleaning at all. killed a roach in our room. The bartender hands were nasty during complimentary cocktail hr. The parking prices are ridiculous which was misinformed at the front desk. Let's just say my favorite hotel is now my least.

Our stay was calm and peaceful. The view of the Cape Fear River was amazing and the riverwalk was beautiful. The hotel lobby was inviting and had plenty of seating. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back.

Perfect location on the river and close yo downtown and Cape Fear College. Very clean, friendly staff and great buffet breakfast!

Love the drink and breakfast specials! I will always stay here when I come to town!
4.0
Good business class hotel or place for families. Breakfast is a mess with too much waiting in line & servers to collect your plates. Gare keeping the bacon & long lines for omelets. Rest of the food no better than a 2/3 star hotel…reheated premade frozen products. Beds were comfortable. Need a discounted rate for parking @ $20/25 per day is definitely high & not even in a city.

Parking was easy. Staff was extremely kind and friendly. Air conditioning worked perfectly. However… There was body hair in the shower. Not sanitary at all.

We took the 2 children to a 2 day 1 nite soccer tournament. Great location on the riverfront, with a roof top bar. Staff was ok when we checked in giving us/ members our 2 free bottles of warm water. Did not tell us where or when breakfast would be. The room had carpet stains, ragged carpet edges and cracked caulking around the tub. I would not let the kids sleep on the sofa bed , it had crumbs and food stains. The extra blanket in the closet had stains on it. Because we had been out all day and tired when returning at 7 pm I thought The Steam restaurant would be easy and convenient. It was awful, poor service, terrible ceasar salad, terrible soft french fries, poor wait staff. I would not stay here again.

Two areas that detracted from experience. No blow dryer in the room. Called front desk twice to ask for; husband finally had to go to reception to get and bring to room. Husband had allergic reaction to something (not hotel’s fault) but needed to sleep on couch to keep from waking me all night and the blanket in the extra linen package was kind of gross. So, attention to individual room supplies is needed. Other than that all was great.

Disappointed in this new hotel. Cars parked in a jumble at the front door. Unable to get my car close enough to the front door to unload. Staff was helpful but unaware of the parking problem until I pointed it out.
Getting around in this building requires the use of multiple elevators, down then up again, etc. You need a map.
Construction elements suggest it was built in haste. Example: caulking in bathroom was sloppy, smeared and full of gaps. Lamps with no bulbs. Light switches controlling more than one light limit a guest's control of lighting. Curtains already falling off of their hooks. Impossible to fully darken the room.
Complimentary breakfast was excellent in a beautiful space - facing the river - but staff seemed overworked and stressed. Basic items were located in unpredictable spaces. We needed to ask where things were more than once. Response was accurate but not that friendly.
Parking costs $22 if you pay the hotel. $15 per in and out if you pay the city for the use of the public garage. No other parking is available.
They deducted $50 from my credit card for "incidentals." That practice is customary, but the amount is excessive.
The hotel is right by the Cape Fear River, but the view from my room was the rooftop of the garage. Not what I had hoped for. Choose your room carefully.

The property was really nice and clean. Unfortunately I was unhappy to find a $22 charge on my credit card for parking. I booked via Expedia and I understand it’s a third party however hotel staff never conveyed to me I would be charged $22 for parking. I would have reserved a different hotel. Very deceptive 😞

1. The bed, my most important thing: EXCELLENT!! possibly even better than my own sleep number, that I love.
2. Cleanliness: spotless, and I looked hard.😏
3. Made to order omelet: this guy is really good! Perfect omelet, great breakfast in a lovely dining room looking at the river.
4. Free drink coupon: how can they still do all of this and still charge a pretty reasonable rate?!? We had not stayed in an embassy suites in a long time so I was pleasantly surprised the afternoon cocktail was still offered. Home run!
5. Staff: SOOOOO nice at front desk!
We would DEFINITELY stay here again, I'm looking for excuses to come back to Wilmington just to book here again.

Hotel was conveniently located and gorgeous. Rooms were large, updated and very clean! The receptionist we spoke to was not friendly at all but the hotel itself was amazing!
