We needed a stop off on our way to the Carnival port and this was right off the interstate. The outside looks old and needs updates and groundskeeping pretty bad. The worst part was the floor in the room was dirty and seemed to have not been cleaned in a while.

Never been to a cleaner hotel spartan amenities and minor esthetic deficiencies (slight wall paint or chip) tv was a challenge- maybe a guide sheet could assist guests. Bathroom was spotless as was the bed. Cleanliness is the only thing I’m really concerned about when traveling and the regal inn is an A+

The room was clean and the place is In a great location. Very quiet at night and the beds were pretty comfortable coming from a woman who is 30 weeks pregnant!

We always look for basic housing when traveling through a place. We just want clean, a comfortable bed and working plumbing as we will be in the room for less than 10 hours. This room had recently been remodeled, so it was better than most budget hotels in that sense. BUT, the hair dryer was missing from the wall, there were no hangers, no shampoo and no coffee in the room. After I walked to the office to get a hair dryer, someone did deliver one to the room roughly 10 minutes later - it was a wall model that the on/off buttons did not work on. Luckily, we could turn it on/off with the surge protector/reset button. Would I stay again? Probably not.

Super friendly staff and great location! Plenty of food within walking distance and the room is just as pictured! If I go to Florida again I’m booking here.

Very clean and updated facility. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. One of Lake City's best kept secrets. Great retro remodeling job. Walkable to MANY restaurants.

I was very surprised the first time I stayed here! The condition of this property is almost a steal considering the low price. My room was tastefully renovated and was very modern. I also enjoyed the Direct TV. I don’t have cable at home so it was nice to channel surf movies, sports and news. There are many restaurants within a couple minutes walking distance- Waffle House, Chipotle, Wendy’s, Dairy Queen, Moe’s and many more. I recommend giving this place a shot. My only concern is that the price will go up once everyone realizes the incredible value this property provides.

Needed an inexpensive stopover for a quick trip. This was the best inexpensive hotel we've ever stayed at. Will do it again.

Felt unsafe as the majority of other tenants lived there permanently. Door to room was not secure. Property looked unkept. Didn’t want to stay, but was told I would have had to cancel two days prior.

This hotel was perfect for what I needed. Clean, quiet, great price, newly remodeled on the inside. Looking at the outside you wouldnt think its as nice as it is on the inside. The staff at the front desk was so friendly she really was awesome!

Economical price and modern decor - very clean place to stay. Updated room was on point with lighting and seating. Easy walk to breakfast and restaurants. Would stay here again. Like that is is not a chain.

Place was basic but very clean. Could hear a lot of street noise. Shower head & faucet were sl loose from wall.

The Motel overall was excellent. No bugs, no hairs on the bed, shower could have been a tad cleaner r, but not bad for the price. Overall: 9 out of 10. Thanks, we'll be back.

For the price it wasn't bad and we were mostly comfortable. I am very picky so for this ptice it was better than other places and didn't make my skin crawl lol. My issue was the floors were not clean (we walk with slippers and step on towels anyway but still don't like having dirty floors). We also had some dirty towels so maybe they aren't washing them good. I had my own washcloth but will bring my own drying now. When I asked for someone to come clean thefloors and bring us towels the cleaning lady was smoking and try to hide her cigarette on her side. I decided to not let her do the floors because we didn't want the cigarette smell in our room plus my daughter just had a newborn baby. Throughout the day the cleaning lady was smoking while working and the smell started coming in our rooms, through the cracks of the doors. I cannot stand cigarettes and again there was a baby. I called the room and had to ask for the cleaning lady to not smoke atound oyr room. She really shouldn't be smoking on the job anyway but that's my opinion.

Suspicious individuals around the property

We have stopped at this hotel before, so we pretty much knew what to expect. There are literally no amenities other than coffee in the lobby. But that’s okay because all we needed was a hot shower and a clean bed. The one thing that I noticed that really could be changed is the appearance of the property in front. There were weeds hanging out of old dilapidated flower pots. Why they wouldn’t take time to clean this area I don’t know. This has been recently renovated so the rooms still looks very nice, I only hope they continue to update and keep it looking that way. There is no carpeting! I love that in a hotel. There is a restaurant called Pizano’s that we found, and that is one of the main reasons we stopped in this area. They have the best woodfired pizza and molten lava cake. I love the surrounding area because there are many restaurants and lots of shopping. We will stop here again.

The rooms were simple but very clean. Only “issue” I would say is rooms could use more light but that’s not really a big deal. Overall it was good price, good location & very clean.

They have done some nice updates but it’s overshadowed by what is not. New vanity, lighted mirror, nice flooring and big screen tv. They have 2 remotes and no instructions. New nice panels in tub area, but slick tub and no grab bars. Do not recommend.

Booked without viewing. Was apprehensive at first when we realized it was “old school” style single story strip. Room was clean, staff was excellent, and value was superb compared to others surrounding. No regrets whatsoever.

Cheap and clean enough for a quick sleep when taveling.

Good customer service but property is questionable with housing project nearby. I did not feel comfortable staying there.

I would stay here again. The owners are working very hard to make this a good experience. The rooms have new mini fridges with freezers, and new microwaves and new tvs. They are freshly painted and the bathrooms have been updated. The beds seem to be new, if a bit firm for me. There was a good ice machine, and there was (free) coffee available in the lobby in the morning. Our first room had a very heavy fragrance, i think it had been cleaned/deodorized. I am sensitive to fragrance, so i would never have been able to stay there. When i went to the owner, they moved us immediately to a different room, which was great. They were very helpful. The motel is fairly close to busy roads, but the street noise wasn't too bad overnight. Overall, a basic hotel that is clean, felt safe, a great value, and i would stay here again.

Bathroom is fully updated and everything in there was spotless. The room itself was mostly clean. There were many dead bugs in the light and the sheets had some questionable stains on them and a few hairs. No bedbugs though! Definitely worth it if you’re looking for a more inexpensive place to stay for a quick night.
