The hotel was fairly modern and it has a nice rooftop restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There was a miscommunication and the shuttle was delayed which felt unsafe. The location was central but it wasn’t too safe to be out there alone.

This hotel is less than 5 years old and has a nice rooftop bar area where breakfast is served. The staff are friendly and polite and when I asked to move to a higher floor they were more than willing to oblige. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and cotton sheets. Plenty of freebies in the bathroom if you like that sort of thing.

My principal grump about this place was that the "suite" of two rooms was so dark and gloomy with only a tiny window in the living room onto the fire escape let in almost no light. The balcony off the bedroom was better but in effect I only used the bedroom. The TV in the living room never worked despite my request to fix it. The kitchen had zero equipment not even a knife and a plate so was a pointless feature. So there's no point in taking a suite a regular room would serve just as well. Breakfast was a dull repetitive buffet with bit so fresh pastries, some sad looking salad and on request rancid butter for the toast and jam.

It’s clean, has free gym

There’s no hot water in the showers. Sometimes if you reduce the speed if the water to almost a trickle you could get lukewarm water.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. No complaints from me .

Cleanliness and the staff was friendly

The breakfast was limited they need to add more variety also we had to pay more money at the end of our stay because they said something about room rates changing I found that odd because we already paid the rate the first day I came so I thought that was a bit of a ripoff Also the staff was every time asking about why didn’t we eat all our meals at the hotel which I found a little annoying because we can eat where we like we come to explore different dishes and the hotel has limited menu anyways. Also we was told we couldn’t bring food from outside and to eat from the hotel 😌

The Room Service, Bar, Spa/Sauna facilties were great also breakfast was good. Moreover, I found the staff very friendly.

Improve just the breakfast

The hotel is very newly renovated and appointed, everything is very clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. We had a small balcony on the 7th floor with a great view of the city around (room 708 if you want to request it, not all rooms have balconies). No Aircon or fan in the room but we never needed it with night in Addis being very cool. There's drinking water provided, a kettle and teabags. The breakfast is great with a selection of fresh local Ethiopian food and the coffee is excellent. The WiFi worked very well throughout. The spa is very pleasant as well: visits to the sauna or steam room are free (included in hotel room rate) and massages (very nice) start from 800-1000 birr for 1h. The hotel provides a free shuttle from and to the airport, which is super helpful. There's a rooftop terrace with a bar, though at the time we stayed there it was being repaired (loudly). Overall definitely recommended, great value for money.

The area around the hotel is dodgy, especially after dark. Don't walk alone, get a taxi (ask reception or order with the app Ride). Taxi to meskel square or piazza was 250-300 birr. It was a little tricky to explain to drivers where the hotel was on the way back, no one seems to know it, but you can manage with a map on your phone. There is technically room service available but there's no menu either in the rooms nor in the restaurant (one of the waiters just said "we have everything"?) so this could definitely be improved. The one major flag is that it seems there's a club or party on the last floor that opens on Friday night, with super loud music and people noise being heard very clearly on the 7th floor. We left Friday night so not sure how long it went on for, but if you're staying over the weekend and want a quiet night, tell reception to give you a room on a quieter floor.
