The house is in the immaculate Rams Hill golf resort and is 10-20 minutes away from all the best hikes and activities in the state park. The palm canyon hike and the slot hike are amazing and so are the cool metal statues scattered throughout the desert. The visitors center is one of the best I’ve been to, with kid-friendly, hand-on exhibits. The house is in a very quiet, serene neighborhood. Perfect location within walking and biking distance to pool/BBQ area. Lots of windows to let in plenty of sunshine and for gorgeous mountain and valley views. It feels much more spacious than I thought it would and the corner lot gives you lots of privacy from neighbors. It more-than-comfortably fit our family of 6. There is a great little patch of turf in the backyard for sky-gazing in this designated dark sky city. The House is equipped with binoculars and a telescope and several books for identifying the constellations. The owners thoughtfully supplied all the kitchen and bathroom essentials you will need. Great kitchen appliances and lots of outdoor seating for enjoying dinner while taking in the views. The hot tub was always heated and so was the lap pool. we went there often! We BBQ’d poolside and didn’t see another person use the pool area the whole time we were there. It was like we had the whole resort to ourselves! (not usual I’m sure). There is No executive course which is disappointing but they do have a kids rate for golfing. My kids enjoyed bike rides around the neighborhood and playing with the toys and games in the condo; including pool noodle toys and towels for the pool. They kept asking when we can return!

The cell phone service in all of Borrego springs and in the state park is very bad (we are on the 5G t-mobile and sprint network). The Wi-Fi in the house didn’t have a lot of bandwidth and was not great, although we were able to stream a movie one night but it stopped multiple times to buffer. But the Wi-Fi is good enough to check emails and get a little work done. Our trip to the desert helped us get “off grid” and truly enjoy nature so the bad Wifi didn’t ruin our trip for us.
