Lovely poolside room. Friendly staff. Wished there was free breakfast and coffee in the lobby all day.

It smelled of sewer gas when we arrived and was like that for 2 days. The people on both sides of us had parties going on and crying kids and it was not a good experience.

Our stay at the Hotel Renovo was fabulous! We really enjoyed our stay there! The staff were so helpful. United had canceled the first leg of our 1-stop flight to Iowa, therefore we missed our connecting flight & couldn't make it to check-in in time for our first night stay. We ended up staying overnight at the connecting airport & couldn't check in to Hotel Renovo until the next day of our 2 night stay. Kristen who was the clerk that answered my call & also checked us in the next day was very accomodating & canceled our first night stay & made notes of our situation. She wasn't authorized to refund us the one night since we booked our stay through Hotels.com but when they called to confirm Hotel Renovo was ok with giving us the one night refund due to our canceled flight, the hotel manager on duty that night was also very accomodating & let Hotels.com know that he ok'd the one night refund due to our canceled flight situation. I believe his name is Jake or Zack? He would have been on duty Sat Aug 26, 2023 to Sun Aug 27, 2023.

I would have given a 5 rating except ice machine was broken. Apparently the only one in the motel.

The hotel was quite could not hear anything when we were in the room. The staff is friendly and always ready to help

This is our go to hotel when we need to go to Des Moines. It's quiet, safe and 15 mins from Downtown Des Moines. Tons of open parking and easy to get to. Our recent stay the room wasn't as clean as we would have liked.

Good hotel

Great find in the greater Des Moines area. The property is extremely comfortable and has excellent amenities, particularly it’s pool area. The staff is professional and accommodating at all hours. Some decorative touch up and other TLC are needed in areas, but these are non-consequential issues overall, and would be easily overlooked in a lesser property with lesser potential for excellence.

The room was wonderful, clean, quiet. The entire hotel is just awesome & the staff super friendly & helpful. Will definitely be staying here again when we’re in the area.

Beautiful property and clean.

Our room smelled of septic so bad we couldn't stand it! They moved us to another room unfortunately not as nice as our first room, but ok by morning our bathroom was starting to smell like our first room. From the staff it sounded like this is a problem around this time of year they said! Unfortunately this place has gone done in quality. We have staid at this place probably ever 20+ times since they opened and it usnt what it once was unfortunately as this use to be our favorite hotel in the west des Moines area, but that has definitely changed

The room was very nice. Rather disappointed there was no complimentary continental breakfast for the price of the room. A breakfast was extra.

Our stay was very nice and we liked the pool side rooms. The hot tub needs some work and at times our toilet would stay running. Overall our room was quiet and our family had a very good time there.

The room was very nice. Felt comfortable and was very clean.

Liked the patio area at the back of the indoor pool. Enjoyed walking around the perimeter of the building.

It was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The pool area was very nice, clean, and roomy. Would definitely recommend this place.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The care taken to make the room inviting and interesting with local art, quality furnishings, good products made our stay perfect. I will stay at a Renovo again. Thanks.

This hotel is highly recommended, it’s located in a great area and it’s extremely nice, extremely clean, if your in the area and need a place to stay I recommend staying here if they have available rooms!!

We had stayed previously at Hotel Renovo in 2018 and had a fantastic experience we chose them again. However our most recent experience was a complete let down. When we arrived, we were told that they were fully booked for the weekend and due to that we would not have room cleaning services as readily available. We had the option to opt out of cleaning services so we did as they told us if we needed anything (or if we changed our mind) we could always reach out to them. Our stay was for two nights so we didn’t think much of it. Then before heading to our room I had to agree to the terms of about 20 different things on a list, basically stating that our children could not leave the room without us, and that they would not be left unsupervised. We were totally fine with that because why would you leave your children alone somewhere when traveling. We went to our room, and when we arrived, the room appeared to have had a very quick clean done on it. There were spots all over the floor, including the carpet spots on the wall, and spots on the counters. I brought Clorox wipes, so I wiped up as much as I could as to not bother housekeeping. Then, we tried using remotes for our TVs and neither of them worked. We also asked for an additional pillow as we needed one more and the man that brought them to us seemed irritated that we were asking for items. That night we continued to have more issues such as plumbing and ants. I could go on but I am limited on characters.
