This was my first weekend trip alone in several years. Everything about this hotel was warm and friendly. It was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. The decor was properly renovated and not slapped together. The room was beautiful, my view (ocean front) was amazing and exactly what I needed. Front desk was welcoming and attentive. The restaurant downstairs was the last place I ate on my trip and was actually the best food I ate while down there. I'm already looking to book again and in the same beautiful room because now it's going to be a tradition for me.

Room and bathroom extremely clean! Great location right on boardwalk and steps from the beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. It is really non-smoking, no smoke smell! Great place to stay!

Great hotel , staff was wonderful . We went off season so not a lot was open . So just check before you go down . Loved that we could see the ocean and it was right on the boardwalk. Clean rooms, comfy beds .

I like that it is smoke free now, but we had a room on our floor that the people were smoking weed heavily and it was heavy smell in the hall and seeped in the room a little.

We were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back! The front desk staff was warm and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with them. The pool and hot tub were the perfect size and temperature. The lounge chairs in the pool area were very comfortable. Our room was a good size and was very clean/comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small (especially the vanity), but the water pressure in the shower made up for it (great shower!). Parking is in a multilevel garage, with stairs and no elevator. We had to carry our suitcase down multiple flights of stairs. We noticed the ground-level loading/unloading spaces at the end of our stay and will use them next time. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and the convenient Boardwalk/beach location. If you are staying in the off-season, and plan on a weekend stayover that includes a Sunday, don't book for Sunday right away. For people booked for a Friday/Saturday stay, they left papers at hotel room doors, enticing them to add Sunday night in exchange for a $50 restaurant credit. We missed out on that deal because we had pre-booked for Sunday. Overall, a wonderful stay that we hope to repeat!

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable although my son slept on the sleeper sofa which was like sleeping on metal bars but if you don't need the sofa bed you are good to go. On the second day the internet went out for about 3 hours. When I asked about it at the front desk I was told that happens sometimes so despite everything else being good, that may be a deal breaker. Anyway, the staff were all very pleasant, the indoor pool and hot tub were clean and fun to have with the weather being cold. The room had a beautiful view. I just wish the internet was more reliable.

Hotel is above the cut when it comes to your typical boardwalk hotel. It’s clean and staff are excellent. Our room did reak of weed the second night but that’s the fault of our neighbors. The room was decorated so nicely and included some flowers, chocolate and wine. The vouchers were wonderful and we explored OC with them. I hope you have a special like this again. We got away from work and kids for a few days to just enjoy ourselves and the city. Thank you, we appreciate all of your hard work

Hotel was amazing and one that went to the top of my list. The room was clean (loved the layout), the lobby was clean (and very nice), the pool was clean (and well maintained). Staff was very nice and helpful. We even stayed an extra night. Look forward to our next vacation in September.

The hotel its self is very nice , everyone as far as the staff were great. During my stay it was only other people who caused disturbances the cops came twice .. the pool is kind of outdated and the jacuzzi was broken but the room was very clean and very nice. They had a resturant / bar that was very popular on NYE so that was cool. I would stay again for sure.

Husband and I went for a New Year's getaway. Should have complementary water for guests in room and at front desk. Staff friendly. Overall good stay.

I would like to share that this is probably the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. The only problem I had was the pool area and the jacuzzi. Because of the weather, I took my three grandchildren to the pool and the jacuzzi was so dirty that it looked green and had sand in it. The pool was not cleaned the two days we were there and the same ponytail was there both days. I'm not sure why considering the rooms were awesome.

The room was okay, but the pool area and hot tub was utterly disgusting and unhealthy and frankly unsafe! The hot tub water color was green and brown being a cesspool of bacteria! We didn’t even go near it. Water drips from the ceiling like a cave full of fungi due to condensation. The walls were dirty as was the flooring.

everything was fine and everyone was pleasant... the only downside was: Cooked-to-order breakfast available for a fee: USD 15–25 per person A bar/lounge A restaurant....is all non-existent except on the weekends during the off season... not noted ANYWHERE except at the front desk... seems like you could at least offer a muffin or something to go with the coffee

Luckily i found an excellent beachfront room. The balcony. The waves. A lil sun followed by rain. Although alot of Ocean Citt establishments are closed, my room was allllll the relaxation i needed during the holidays.

No issues. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Unfortunately the restaurant for breakfast wasn’t open due to off season & a weekday.

The entire hotel was in pristine condition!!! Our room was immaculate (and 10000000 bonus points for NOT HAVING BEDBUGS!!!!! AMEN! The entire staff we had contact with EVERYONE of them were very friendly, & extremely accommodating. The restaurant “Bistro Brothers” that’s located inside the hotel has homemade potato chips they serve with your food…. OMGGGG!!!! They are served still hot & are soooooooooo good!!!! I found this hotel because it was in my price range and I am so happy we chose this place to stay. As my husband and I come Down a lot during off season as well as during summer and bike week!! I found our new spot!! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. The manger was amazing as well. Thank you again for an awesome Stay!! See you guys again very soon!!!

It was good overall. We choose this hotel for ocean view and it was cheap. We were able to see sunrise from room coming form out of ocean

Whenever we need to stay in a hotel we stay at Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel by Wyndham Ocean City Oceanfront. The Staff is excellent and very helpful from the housekeeper to the front desk.

Every thing was very very good!!!

Location was perfect and the price was great. The hot tub could be WAY hotter as other reviews mentioned. Staff was nice and bartender was attentive. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet and the shower was good. Definitely worth an off-season stay.
