Room had a nasty smell. Fairly clean. But the smell wasnt very pleasant. People were nice.

Room 106 was in good condition, well above average for hotels in this price range.

Very convenient and adequate for my needs, but I would not recommend it to anyone unless they were looking for the absolute lowest priced clean accommodation. There were dogs in a no dog facility, loud guests early in the morning and a modest breakfast offering. The price was fantastic.

Although non-smoking the room smelled like someone had been smoking and there was a burn mark on the bedspread.

Nice staff! But tge place is run down and staff are not 24/7.

It was very nice stay. I am most happy with the hotel staff. Thank you so much. But. My problem again. Very high beds. It is so hard to get on the bed. We were staying in the hotels by Wyndham. They all have very high and uncomfortable beds. I am a senior and it is hard to climb to the bed. Can they fix it? The breakfast. Poor. Only hard boiled eggs. They had cream cheese, bagels and more but the egg upset my stomach. It will be be good to have some omelette and breakfast sausage instead. One more time thank you to the guy who helped us to check in. I don't know his name. Sorry. he was a great helper

Hotel & room were generally very clean; but the bathroom equipment was BAD - shower head fell off as soon as water was turned on; very weak water pressure in shower; hair blow dryer did not work at all! The cloth-cushion chair in the room was very water-stained (looked exactly like it had been peed on previously, though it did not have an odor; but neither of us would sit in it). The beds were comfortable! The parking lot was rather (very) dirty & grimey.

I was very disappointed in the room. Very small, carpet looked like the used carpet that used to be in Blue Chip casino when i worked there and instead of spending a little money for trim they continued the carpet up the was as trim. The carpet needs cleaned bad...because the odor in the room was awful....and to top it off the tv didnt work. I was told i would be discounted 25.00 for not having a tv but that hasnt happened yet.. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Bed and pillows were very comfortable after a long day of driving. The rest of the facility wasn’t that appealing or sexy but I wasn’t there for that.

Reading the reviews, I was a bit nervous about my stay. Truthfully though I was pleasantly surprised. It is nothing fancy and could use some updates, but I felt it was decently clean and comfortable. The shower head is low so be ready to squat if you are over 5ft 6 and the building is not secure from the outside. For the price it is a decent place to rest your head.

The room did not feel clean and I had gotten bit by bed bugs in the room. The floor was moist, which I can understand with humidity and summer but overall it felt gross in there. I don’t mean to put this hotel on blast like that but I was disappointed for how much I paid.

This was a last minute, late night hotel stop. We did stay overnight as it seemed to have decent reviews. We were so wrong. If you like smokie rooms, bed sheets that have cigaret burns, Bad tv service, discussing bathrooms, and a questionable breakfast. This is your place. Not going to stay at this place ever again!

It was clean, the breakfast was not good.

Room was run down. First room we had toilet was broke.

We checked in about 8pm and had an attendant who probably would liked to be somewhere else. The room assigned was stinky, we aired the room but still couldn't get rid of the smell. The attendant changed our rooms after I complained and that is the sole reason of the one star. They shouldn't advertise breakfast as it is a.farce. A.few.minicupcakes in individual ziplock bags, 2 slices of bread in a.ziplock.bag. They must have had one batch of food and that was it Cereal dispenser with no bowls. Not recommended.

The building is older, small repairs could make it nicer ( like toilet seat not secured proper and airconditioning is old/noisy , but it proved adequate. Bed and bath were clean and pillows and bed linens were great, towels not so much. There was a fair amount of street noise but that lessened in the late night. The breakfast was the basic continental and they were green-minded 👍 All staff was friendly and helpful. The gentleman working the desk came up and helped us with the TV. For summertime only 12 minutes from Lake Michigan, I think it was a fair $ value. Some colorful characters were hanging around out front, made us a bit uneasy, don’t know what that was about, but it caused us no problems and not likely a steady issue. We were looking for a clean bed for a night while on the road. Michigan City and New Buffalo on Lake Michigan are both a short drive. It was A LOT less expensive to stay here, and LaPorte is a lake town as well.

I chose this property due to location and price. Never again will I pick based on price. I should have paid the extra money to stay in a clean, safe, well kept facility. All of the doors to the outside were unlocked so anyone could access the building and there were several entrances. Appeared the carpet on the stairs and in the hallway hadn’t been vacuumed in months. Our room had a coat of dust on everything, end table, headboard. The blankets had stains everywhere. The worst part was the urine around the base of the toilet that hadn’t been cleaned for who knows how long. Absolutely disgusting. Still makes me gag to think about it. Wish I could post pictures here because I have evidence of the unbelievably filthy toilet!! No way was this worth $25 let alone the $127 it cost. So upset I wasted money on this filth!!

This hotel was disgusting. Nothing like the website conveys. An uneasy feeling from the moment of check in. An employee called my room at 1130 and hung up. Then, employee tried to enter our room at 12 AM! (Blocked by door chain) they then called and yelled at me. Sketchy people hanging around building and lot. Employees “watching” us come and go. Felt very unsafe.

Tv didnt work. New room TV had very few channels. Free breakfast was not good. Had to ask for clean towels. Soap was not good. Air cond. did not work right in either room. Every thing was old.

The beds were small and too high up to get into. Suggest for bed details to be on website.

On my recommendation a friend stayed at this motel. He reserved through EXPEDIA, but paid directly to the motel. He had to cut his trip short by a day, and the manager would not refund the day. He told him he had to go through EXPEDIA. EXPEDIA got no money from him, so they had nothing to refund. Despite EXPEDIA trying to intervene, my friend was never refunded for the night he did not use. The toilet and bathtub constantly ran water, and the rooms ware mediocre at best for the price. I cannot recommend staying at this motel again.

The reception couple were very helpful and friendly. It made the stay great!

No one around to check us in - waited for 20 minutes for someone to show up. Bathroom floor dangerously slippery when wet - from floor vantage point - bathroom corners disgusting.

Location convenient for our meetings. Price reasonable. Parking on south side difficult to get out of.

My room was next to laundry in the basement which they call it first floor. Food pieces was over the microwave and aunts were in the bathroom. Never had this experience were I booked with hotel.Com. Never again booked hotel at Travelodge by Wyndham.

Nice location, older hotel that is well kept. I was on the third floor with no elevator. The breakfast was weak. No warm food, unless you count instant oatmeal. Not bad, you get What you pay for.

Everything was basically OK, but the comforter had stains on it, which was a little disturbing

The staff was very nice Larger coffee pot in room would be nice, loved the beds awesome and hard love them The only I would say was bad was the strange smell in the hotel you get use to it after be a while But we loved it the price was good we will return

$20.00 upcharge for early check in? Really?? Not happy about that!

The staff was incredibly friendly and very welcoming. The room was just what it needed to be. It was clean with a nice bed. It had good water pressure in the shower. There was a nice, quaint breakfast.
