Great little historic hotel. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was included which was also nice. The only drawback was no temperature control in any of the rooms. It was extremely warm and we had to open the windows to get any type of air circulation. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay.

Second stay here. Is a very charming property. Great location, rooms are clean and comfortable, great staff and great price. Parking is on site. I love this place.

I have stayed at the Chelsea many times over the years. It is a quiet Inn a 1/2 block from the boardwalk and about 3/4 of a mile from the outlet shops. I go during teachers convention. They serve a nice breakfast with lovely places to sit during your meal.

2nd visit at this hotel- super friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast, this will be our go-to hotel in AC from now on - 1 block from the boardwalk- check it out, you will not be disappointed -

This was a unique spot the first time we stayed here a few years ago. This visit was not so lovely. Our room was small, had been refitted with badly installed engineered hardwood flooring, and was noisy (right above the vent from the restaurant below) and hot. The breakfast, which in the past had been a beautiful french country buffet, was disappointing, to say the least. Staff was all very friendly. It now has the feel of a corporate operation instead of a quaint inn. I am sorry to see this change in such a lovely little hotel.

This hotel is a great location for being right downtown in Atlantic City. Just steps from the Tropicana. This is not our cookie cutter hotel! The rooms are designed around the period give off a spooky yet safe vibe. We stayed in October do the owners and staff really played up the Halloween angle which was appreciated. Breakfast was included and very good. There’s stories with no elevator may be a challenge for some, especially with bags. We loved it!

My husband and I are so glad we found the Chelsea Pub & Inn! We decided to stay over in AC after a concert at the nearby Boardwalk Hall, and fortunately there was still room at the inn. The staff was super friendly and our room was clean, comfy, and neatly decorated. The building has so many beautiful architectural features and amazing art and antique pieces inside. The free parking and breakfast were a great bonus. I would SO much rather stay at a nice spot like this than a chain or casino hotel. Thank you, Chelsea!

The property has so much history. We stayed on the third floor. A bit difficult for me as I have neuropathy. But it was one night and I didn’t think to ask where the room was. Breakfast in the morning. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Close to the beach, boardwalk and Tropicana Casino and hotel. Parking on the premises which is appreciated. Would recommend this stay

Wonderful bed & breakfast from glorious days past, incorporating all modern amenities in prime location!
Very nice breakfast served, coffee/tea/water all day, library and games (chess!) available, peaceful nooks indoors and outdoors available for quiet retreats and the pub & restaurant attached... all around a delightful place for our romantic getaway!

It was not in a safe area. The noise of people in the parking lot was unbelievable at night. We were awakened at 5 am this morning by a large number of people speaking and yelling at the top of their voice. The pub is open 24 hrs.

The room, itself, was comfortable. But it was impossible to sleep with all the noise outside. The parking lot adjacent to the property seems to be a meeting spot for those looking for late night partying. People were blasting music, screaming, revving their engines, and even fighting until at least 4am. I understand that this isn't the fault of the property, but it's hard to recommend when I was hardly able to sleep at all during my stay. On a positive note, the beds are comfortable, the location is central, and the breakfast is solid.

Cute bedrooms. Bathroom was small with limited sink space. Also, there was no solid door between the bathroom & the bedroom, just a folding louvered door. The bed was comfortable and the place was a nice alternative from your standard hotel...and a little cheaper.

Overall, the property location was good, Their breakfast was excellent. But, it is not suitable for guests with physical disabilities. The guests need to be physically fit to climb the stairs. The first step in the main entrance was too high for us. We are senior citizens with physical challenges/

The property is conveniently located next to the Tropicana and the boardwalk and close to a Walgreens. The room was cute and the bed was comfortable. The staff let us store our bags in a storage closet so we wouldn't have to carry to the beach since we arrived several hours before check-in. The location is 1.5 blocks off the boardwalk so not totally unsafe feeling. The breakfast area is very cute and even has a little patio area. There's really nothing bad to say about the place. I would only note that if you are planning on walking around late after dark or before sunrise there are some shady characters out by the nearby 7/11, which is to be expected in a casino filled, beach city. I would stay again though.

Our visit was very enjoyable. We are older and the third floor was a bit much to climb. Other than that, we loved the antiques and character of the historic building. The service and staff we encountered couldn’t have been more accommodating. Would stay there again on another trip.

Even though the building is old and historic, the room we stayed in was updated and clean. The bathroom in particular was a pleasant surprise. Since it’s old, the rooms are slanted (I guess the old house has settled a lot) which is… interesting! The breakfast was great and the staff was nice. You will receive a key to the building, since I don’t think they have overnight staff. Definitely old school!

clean rooms. our room had 2 queen beds. what was nice was that they each had their own part of room for some extra privacy. the shower was nice, tall enough for me at 6'4". good location near the boardwalk, also having the Pub underneath the Inn was very convenient.

On Saturday night there was a very loud outside gathering almost all night, either in, or next to, their parking lot. In addition to yelling, car horns blasted over and over and over (maybe 20 times, each time) until probably 3 or 4 am. It was impossible to sleep.

A few others mentioned noise issues but we had zero! We were on the “quiet” side and not really during peak season so that may have been the reason. Our stay was lovely! The welcome was nice and informative, the breakfast was a usual continental style breakfast with some hot options. We only spent one night there but I would definitely choose them again! Reasonable price and very clean! Super cute accommodations!

We had no problems with our stay. I do wish they had informed me that they did not have an elevator. My elderly mother in law had to climb to the 3rd floor. Also, room 304 connecting to 305 has a tripping hazard as you step up to the shared bathroom…This old building is well preserved and decorated in an interesting way! Breakfast was also adequate-nothing special but filling. I would come back and recommend to others.
