Thank you for allowing us to rent your home for a family wedding in Birmingham. The location was perfect to get everywhere and so close to The Club and The Vulcan. We loved the tall ceilings, beautiful architecture and details in this older home. The speakeasy was cool, and home has lots of space for all the family. Lots of little conversation spots, and the teens loved the pool table and games in the basement. Such a fun time! Thank you!

My team & I recently stayed at a VRBO rental property in Birmingham, Alabama and had a fantastic experience. The property was located in a convenient and safe neighborhood, making it easy to explore the city without any concerns. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and overall condition of the rental. The property was well-maintained and had all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware, perfect for preparing meals during my stay. The bedrooms were spacious and provided a cozy retreat at the end of a long day. The highlight of the VRBO rental was undoubtedly the host's attention to detail. They had clearly put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring a pleasant stay for their guests. From the complimentary toiletries to the provided coffee and snacks, every little touch added to the overall comfort and convenience of the experience. Additionally, communication with the host was excellent. They were quick to respond to any questions or concerns and made the check-in process seamless. Their warm and friendly nature made me feel welcome and valued as a guest. The location of the rental was ideal for exploring Birmingham. It was centrally located and within walking distance or a short drive to various attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether I wanted to explore the vibrant downtown or visit nearby parks and museums, everything was conveniently accessible.

It was perfect!!! We all enjoyed the space to spread out and still be able to have a large enough area where we could all sit and hangout!!

We were a group of 20 (chaperones/students). We had an amazing week in Vulcan's Knee. The room allows for close contact with all, but plenty of room when folks need a bit of room. Beds slept well and the neighborhood is VERY quiet even though it is 1 block from the 5 points entertainment district. Parking is ample (some in driveway, plenty available on street - that is very low traffic street). Plenty of room to lounge and play and lots and lots to do! Several TVs throughout the house, but the students loved the speak-easy, library, billards, and playing cards the most! PLENTY of towels and linens! and a washer and dryer. Home supplied paper products, laundry detg. dish soap, hand soap, cleaner, etc...basically, bring your group or family, food (HUGE pantry, nice grill), and you are set. If you are indeed a large group, bring a few larger cooking pots/sheet pans. Gas stove kept up with cooking 3 meals and a snack a day and the Kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware. Fridge is a bit small for large groups, so plan to shop every other day for cold items. Yard is mostly enclosed, but is on a slope...fine for elementary and older children...for younger children, there would be plenty of room to play in the house, porch, and there are parks nearby. Really, the best possible place we could have found! We hope to return again!

We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Vulcan's Knee. Our families came from three states to celebrate my daughter's graduation from UAB and this property was perfectly located and worked splendidly for us! The hosts were the absolute best and really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Great house - very well stocked with everything we needed. Lots of space. Had an issue with the air conditioning and the property managers responded immediately and got it fixed right away. Great property for a large group!

Great urban location near downtown Birmingham. Older home with charm and character and a beautiful updated kitchen. Would definitely stay again in future trips to Birmingham.

We were in town for my son’s wedding, so things were hectic with many people going different ways and times. This was the perfect place to meet, eat and unwind. We range in age from 11 months to 60+. There was room for everyone and could accommodate different bedtimes. Great house and host.

Wow!

The house is enormous and full of character. The 10 of us had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and each bedroom was spacious. We enjoyed the hidden speakeasy, the Galaga game, the gameroom in the basement. The kids had fum expliring the house and running around in the backyard. The wifi worked great and there was plenty of hot water. There was plenty of street parking available. I might rent this house again for another family gathering.

My son got married to a girl in alabama so this was an out of town wedding for immediate family Found house spacious for all especially a baby, toddler and 9 year old. I have sime reommendations and will send to the hosts

For my father's celebration of life weekend, my family, my sister's family and my brother's family all stayed together in this home. It's a perfect hangout spot for big groups and great location. Large kitchen is well equipped as well as nice towels for the baths. Decent beds. Would highly recommend for big groups.

The home is large. Lots of character. In a reasonably nice area. Nice location for downtown and Homewood Area. Nice kitchen area. We had plenty of room for a nice time. We were in town for a wedding. Delaine was absolutely fantastic to communicate with about the property! She is terrific!

Had a group of college friends gather over the weekend. The house is perfect for entertaining with an expansive front porch, spacious rooms, and fantastic amenities. The secret bar was a particular hit with the group. Highly recommend.
