Nice location. Quiet. Well kept but older looking inside. Room was comfortable. Breakfast is nothing special but was enough to get me on the road

This was a wonderful place to stay. Super clean wherever we went in the hotel. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We absolutely loved the sauna! They have one for males and one for females. When we went they were empty so my husband and i were able to go together into one. I also appreciated the showers right in the sauna area, stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Its also just down the hall from the pool. The people were super friendly and helpful also. Will definitely stay here again.

Great value. Very comfortable, clean, coffee/breakfast. Centrally located. Great value vs other properties

A good hub for our exploration of Houghton & the Keweenaw. Hotel staff was friendly and breakfast was great each morning. Certainly an older property that could use some updates, but felt more 'cozy' than 'dated.' Only real complaint was that our minifridge didn't keep leftovers cold.

The first room we checked into was very cold and we didn't see a thermostat to turn the heat up- fan only blew cold air. We were getting ready to leave and go to a different hotel, but they were able to put us in a different room. This room had a thermostat but the only base board heater that worked was in the bathroom- which made the bathroom very hot and the rest of the room just kind of ok. My daughter found dark hair on the bed she was going to be using (and we're all blonde). The refrigerator didn't have a freezer, so our ice cream melted. There was no microwave in the room. There was only 1 towel in the bathroom. Employees were very nice, and the pool was what we expected. The hot tub was actually hot and had jets that felt nice on my back. The bed was hard, pillows were too soft- no support for head/neck. Room was very small. We will not stay here again.

Second time staying here within the last year, and plan to stay here again in the future.

Booked this hotel after dropping my son back off at Michigan Tech after the Christmas break. Called and found out the pool and hot tub were not working but figured that was fine for the price. Checked in and saw almost no other cars in the lot (about 8pm) so I think I'm here almost by myself. Front desk was friendly at check in. Hotel is very dated. Called the front desk a couple of times to find out where the ice machine was. No answer. Called on my cell phone and was answered. Maybe a phone issue? Bed was comfortable. Water in the morning for my shower was not hot enough. (Like I said, I think I'm the only one here so overuse can't be the issue). Now the bathroom light over the vanity doesn't work. Breakfast was ok (waffles, muffins, toast, coffee, etc.). Could have stayed somewhere else for about $30 more but I lost my job Friday and needed a place to sleep. Wish I'd spent the money. Won't be back unfortunately. (Hotels.com isn't allowing me to add pictures for some reason.)

So I didn’t actually get to stay at the copper crown because i went to check in and as I was checking in i saw the sign that said the pool was closed. this was the only reason we wanted to stay here was to have the little kids swim and hangout on new year’s eve. the workers were amazing and super understanding and switched me over to the super 8. no big deal at all but they should really list online that the pool area is closed.

This was a nice place. Not fancy but worked great for a place to put our heads.

The smell in the hallway and inside the room was pretty bad. It smelled like mold - we opened the window - but that didnt really help. Breakfast area very small - limited options. This was just 1 night stay.

room was affordable. A very basic room and accompanying facilities. Nothing fancy. Nothing wrong with the place.

Older hotel but comfortable. Sink was not as clean as Inwould have hoped but maybe it looked like that due to the age.

Easy to find and decent breakfast

There’s no elevator. The only microwave is down two floors. Everything is pretty old. This is the most expensive hotel we’ve stayed in and it’s the only one I wouldn’t come back to.

It was close to downtown area so walking distance to dining. Parking was tight and cramped. Ice machine closest to our room was not working.

The location was good. The building is very outdated along with all of the furnishings from top to bottom.
Breakfast was not much to choose from.
Way overpriced.

Room was run down and out dated. Mattress was very uncomfortable too. Had a hard time regulating the room temperature. It said breakfast included but selection was very limited

I stayed at the Magnuson Hotel Copper Crown while on a weekend trip through the UP and I couldn't recommend it enough. The hotel is older, but my room was extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel also has covered parking, a hotel, and a hot tub - which was awesome! Given the price and the walking distance to downtown Houghton, it's a no brainer to stay here.

We didn’t even use the first night. We were in a car accident on Thursday and spent the night in Portage Hospital. Came back Friday afternoon to stay another night as we had no transportation. No change in pricing which is very expensive for an older hotel. Air conditioner worked poorly all evening. Room was stuffy. Needs some updating big time!

The room was so nice. Clean and comfortable. Nice bed. Bathroom area had separate room for shower and toilet, sink and vanity. Coffee maker held four cups, and plenty of cream and sugar provided. Not much of a view from our room.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was spacious. Check in was easy and quick. The only downside was the price, not good value for money. However, other hotels in the area were also expensive.

Good value for the price.

Everything was excellent except for the door keys for 2018. I think it may have been an issue with the door lock itself but not sure. Other than that it was very clean & well maintained with a great staff!

Even though this was in town, it was surprisingly quiet. Internet was speedy. The price was much more affordable than most motels in the area.

A rather querky hotel with tight covered parking. The room was remodeled, comfortable and well kept . Breakfast was sub-par. Back steps from parking garage were steep and dirty. A mixed bag.
