The view was amazing The owners were very friendly

The view.

Bedroom was small my wife and I were falling over each other. No writing desk. I couldn't get out of the chairs in room with bad knees. Not allowed to park off road. Hosts lived in same area of house.

We stayed at this residence in mid-June 2023. The owners of the house were very friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfy and the pillows soft. The shower was hot and the bathroom well appointed. My wife and I are country people, so we prefer quiet places to stay, so this place was definitely that as it is nestled in a sheltered position on the side of a hill. The views from the deck of the bay and inlet are nice and relaxing. The entire house has a 'house & garden' feel about it and is very nicely appointed. Wi-Fi worked well too.

We assumed too much and should have asked more questions before finalising our booking. We were surprised that the address of the property was not provided until the day of our arrival. When we finally got there, we were further surprised to find we had actually booked a small bedroom in someone's house. The house owners live in the house. Further surprises ensued when we realised there was no aircon (only a ceiling fan) in our bedroom and there was no car parking other than leaving your vehicle on the nature strip and walking down 2 flights of stairs to get to the front door. My wife is a diabetic and needs to keep her insulin in a refrigerator, so we had to remove many items in the bar fridge to make room for her to safely store it. We had our own 'private' bathroom and toilet, but we had to walk across a common area to access them both, which meant you had to be prepared for one of the owners being in that area to access the second bedroom (storage) or coming/going as the only access door to the property ran through the common area. We were very disappointed to find that our 'private' balcony was actually on the other side of the house and we had to walk out of our bedroom and then outside to gain access to it. The bedroom was rather small and I have included a picture for reference. And finally, my wife was very disappointed that there was no TV in our room. I guess this kind of stay suits some people, but definitely not us. We would never stay here again.

This property is far enough away from the rat race yet close enough to everything you want to do.

The room has 2 large windows looking out onto verdant greenary - it feels like you are sleeping in the middle of the jungle, with the relaxing sound of the leaves rustling. The bird call in the morning was beautiful. It is just a short walk around on the verandah to see a panoramic view over the bay - the view in the night with the full moon was amazing.

There were about 15 steps to get to the main door - for the mobility challenged, this could be an issue. That being said, once inside the house, it is flat.

Fantastic views with a great price

We loved our stay there. It is a great room with comfy bed, fridge and chairs. The room and bathroom across the floor were super clean and cosy. It has everything you need plus a few treats like nice shampoo, coffee etc. It is even possible to rent a car. The view from the balcony and the the hosts Yuko and Manu were amazing. Although you probably don’t need it, because it’s the perfect place to come down, the Wifi works great. We would recommend this as a wonderful place to have a great holiday.
