Absolutely beautiful location. Charming old hotel.
No air con or food facilities (mini fridge, coffee maker) in the room, although they did give us a fan. It was a bit stuffy during the day, but there was a cool breeze off the river at night.

The room was decorated with taste and care. All the facilities were new and fresh and felt especially clean. Special attention was paid to using materials that are easily washable and cannot hide lack of cleanliness. My room right on the water was dreamy, with the sound of the waves lapping the shore in the morning. It was raining my entire stay, so I was glad to at least have been able to be so close to the water and see some natural beauty. The meal at the auberge restaurant was also a delight. Lots of fresh locally sourced ingredients, and cooked to perfection. I savored every bite. Props to the chef. This place was a surprise gem. I really thought I'd be staying in the usual 3-star Quebecois auberge, but this was next level and yet the price is so reasonable.
Maybe a larger and better quality mattress, nothing wrong with it per se, but it could have been a bit comfier. Of course the room is small so a queen size mattress would not have fit. In general in the northern Quebec regions, hotels don't have queen size mattresses or super cushy mattresses. It's a thing.

Beautiful location. Restaurant very nice, gourmet meals.
Rooms in the inn definitely need a refresh. They are dated. We were also surprised to learn that the restaurant was not open for dinner when we arrived. There was no mention of restricted hours on your website.

Location was spectacular. Quiet with breathtaking views of sunset on the St Lawrence river. Dinner was exceptional. Truly over the top.
A good coat of paint and new carpets are needed. It's definitely getting" tired".

it was actually closed for the season but the proprietor was kind enough to let us stay there anyway. Gave us some fresh ground coffee to take to our room. Rooms are in the process of being updated.

The view was fantastic. Ariane the greeter graciously heated up a chicken pie for my sister and me as the restaurant was closed and we were dead tired. We had a delicious breakfast the next morning and Lucette the other greeter was equally charming.

Nice location. Great view of the St. Lawrence River. Staff were friendly and the room was well-prepared.
We booked the room thru Booking.com for $159 per night, then were surprised when the hotel charged us $189. In spite of repeated efforts to get an explanation from the hotel, they have thus far refused to explain the discrepancy to us.

breakfast was ordinary for the price , no fruits , no juice . make it expensive

The breakfast and evening meals were both good.
Just a small thing, but the wifi was only available in the main building and when you're on the road trying to book other accommodation and receive updates this makes life a little difficult.

Very clean room and staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was fantastic.
There were quite a few mix ups regarding our reservation of the restaurant through the room booking, and there were mix ups with our food orders at the restaurant.
