The breakfast provided a wide selection for adults and kids. The location was perfect. Close to everything but quiet area. Staff were very friendly and were available at all times if required.

Location and proximity to the beaches. First trip to PEI and we wanted to be close to the water. Staff was really great in greeting us to the property. We're froom Quebec and the agent at the Desk is a Quebec ex-pat! Great chat about home when we arrived.

More comical than something we didn't like. The floor of our room is crooked. Not a big issue, except that it makes the bed crooked. Again, not a huge issue, expect that I have difficulty sleeping!

Amazing little place, staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was great. Jacuzzi tub, fire place, king bed very comfortable. Very big room, porch to enjoy Canopied by trees, not much of a view. But the room made up for it. Lots to do with in a couple of miles. Haunted house, mini putt, small theme park, shopping, restaurants. Would deffently return. Parking was a little tight.

Room smelled of mold or mildew. Requested to be placed in another room, which was next door but still smelled somewhat. Place was kinda rundown, clean but needed some work.

We liked the dining room and the help yourself breakfast with a variety of different things to choose from including cooked eggs and ham. The location was quiet and the grounds were well cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room was part of the annex which had a ramp for accessibiity and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. However, in other respects the bathroom was not good and it wasn't even all that accessible for people with disabilities other than for those in wheelchairs. There was no mirror, no shelf to put toiletries on and not even a hook to hang up one's clothes. Though there was a bar to hold onto and a seat in the shower once you were in the shower there was no bar to help someone with a disability (but not in a wheelchair) to balance themselves when getting into the shower. There was no sink in the bathroom to wash your hands--this was located outside in the main room. This did have a mirror but again nowhere to put toiletries, There was a large hot tub (wasteful of heat and water) in one corner of the room which as a partially disabled person I wouldn't even have been able to get into. In short I think Shining Waters have attempted an accessible room (perhaps to comply with some PEI law) but have not considered other things. I don't expect anyone working at the hotel has actually stayed overnight in the room or they would have realized the shortcomings of the bathroom. I recommend that all hotel owners and managers do that so that so they can fix small things that matter to guests.
