Newly remodeled and had the feel (for the most part) of new construction.
The layout is slightly awkward, in an ‘L’ shape. The elevator in the corner of the L had not been updated, and transitions from the two wings had to pass through an old stairwell. That corner should really be redesigned with more of a clear opening.
As well, they did NOT inform me that I had to sign up to be on the airport shuttle that only runs once per hour. It was a snowy day and many other travelers managed to get on the shuttle after I had checked in. I had to take an Uber to get to the airport on time.

I was a little iffy about booking here from previous reviews talking about construction and sketchy parking but construction was done while we stayed here and everything was beautifully updated. It was a great stay especially for the price compared to other hotels close by. The check in process was great and staff was friendly.

Breakfast was good and the rooms were well lit and comfortable. Unfortunately we had really rowdy kids and "teenagers" on our floor so it was quite loud, but overall the room was clean, quaint and it was a good stay. The location was conveniently located not far from downtown area and there were places to eat within walking distance like KFC, McDonalds and Wendys.
The pillows were a little uncomfortable, so I recommend people who stay to bring their own. Also, not within control of the hotel staff but very rowdy kids in the hallway and in the eating area, so you could not really "enjoy" a quiet meal & full meal with lots of hands in the food and noise in the hallways. Overall... good stay.

The room was actually nice and clean.
The hotel was under construction, and we were not aware. The parking lot and entrance was a mess. There were a lot of suspicious people hanging out in the parking lot. Smell of marijana in the halls as we were leaving in the morning. 1 staff member talking on her personal cell phone while on speaker, and the person on the other end of the call was loud and cursing.

I waited for 45 minutes for the Lions Transport. I called earlier in the day about it and was told it ran from 5:30 to 10:3 I think. After 30 minutes the lions bus came but I was told that I should wait for the other bus for that route. The driver said he was on his way 15 minutes later the original driver came and saw me and I could see him on the phone. He said the driver was never called. I asked him how it was supposed to work and he said I should have called the hotel when o got there. I asked him how o was supposed to know that. Another customer said the person at the hotel gave her a piece of paper with that information. I explained I hadn’t been to the hotel yet. The driver dropped me off first which was kind of him. A couple was in front of me at the desk checking in I guess so I waited about 10 minutes. That was fine. I gave the woman my card and license. I told her o waited for 45 minutes for the transport. She said I should have called and o asked her how was o supposed to know that. Her tone was defensive and condescending as soon as we started that conversation. She went on to say that o should know that is how things are done. I was bothered by her tone (it had been a very long day) so said it appears that she is bugged by me bringing this up with her. She said she wasn’t bugged but said I was and I agreed with her. She said I can’t be bugged by her because it was the hotel who decided things. I said she is a representative of the hotel. She was processing the room then started repeating the same information to me. I asked her to stop because we had already discussed it and I didn’t frankly want to hear her judgmental tone again. Then she started up again about I should have called etc. I said to her please stop talking to me and I won’t talk to you. She handed me my key card. I started to turn but then asked her about the Wi-Fi. She totally ignored me. I walked to the elevator and pushed the button but didn’t hear a sound and the button didn’t light

Staff was friendly
Due to construction, the place was a total mess yet the cost was full price. Stayed there because my dog was with me but there was no area to walk her and outside was filthy.

All the rooms are completely redone and look new and very nice. The common areas are still under construction but were not an imposition to me.
Due to construction, they only provided a to-go breakfast. What they provided was very modest and disappointing.

friendly staff at front desk
well to start with they were under construction. their front door was not even available to use because of the construction. Parking was awful because of the construction. Was woke up in the middle of my sleep at 3 AM by water dripping out of the smoke detector and the smoke detector going off to later finding out it was pouring rain outside and they’re having problems with a leaking roof so we had to move rooms at 3 AM.
