For days now there has been loud constant banging, it starts at 8.am and ends after 4pm. It goes on all day long. One of the workers had a code to our door and walked in. I asked to get a new door code and they ignored me. They are doing extensive construction above us, we have photos.
They have done nothing to fix this problem we should have been informed about this construction before checking in. I have text messages from them about the constant banging all day and they did nothing half the time they ignored us. They also tried to say it was an emergency repair, as you can see from the photos this was an extensive remodeling project going on.. We even tried to get BOOKING.COM to contact them about the noise and to date we haven't heard from either of them,
They also had no security for the front door it was constantly open, not that it mattered since a random stranger already walked into our condo so the code is given to anyone. We were coming in one evening and got accosted by 2 men who were sitting in the foyer who we don't even think were staying there. We were afraid to leave our room or return in the evenings. I didn't speak to them when they cat called me and they called me a stuck up B**CH.
So many things are broken, and it is dirty in there. The blow dryer and coffee maker are both broken. The outlets in the loft and the kitchen don't work. Also beware with the water or you will burn your skin off.
Everything was bad.

The room was cute and had plenty of room except that bathroom was tiny!
Had to climb four flights of stairs to get to the room. No elevator. That was not mentioned when making the reservation. Electrical issues. When I dried my hair it blew a breaker and we had to call maintenance to come. Had to sit in the dark for 20 minutes or so because we could not find the breaker box. One bedroom had no a/c and it never got cool in that room. Bathroom was tiny! I would not rent this room again. Room#15. I did request another room but my request was denied.

Location can’t be beat! It’s a beautiful historic building. Check in was smooth, and throughout our stay, it was easy to get in touch with the staff.
Its an OLD building—so obviously there were a few bumps in the road. The plumbing is old and requires you to be patient and gentle (hold down the toilet handle when you flush and if you must, wait a few minutes before flushing again). a little bit of water dripped into our room during a very intense rain storm—again, kind of to be expected in a historic location. nothing at all we couldn’t handle.

the location was the best but…
This property has a rat problem, at first we thought it could have been spirits or ghosts since that’s what New Orleans is known for but it was rats and seem to be quite a few. They roam at night while you sleep and their very loud, so they wake you from your sleep.

apartment was a decently furnished loft apartment (lots of stairs!) It was clean, in a good location close to the action but on a quiet street. Comfortable beds, kitchen good although we did not use it much.
There were no curtains, so we got woken up early by the light. Airconditioning was weak in the bedrooms (one of the vent hoses in one fell out and heated up the room while we were sleeping), both hairdryers we tried to use burnt out after a few seconds. There is no outlet in the bathroom. Water pressure rather weak in the shower.

I loved the place!! It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was wonderful!!! However, the television’s internet was spotty. But the location and facilities were so great it didn’t matter.

The location was great.
There was a mouse infestation. We saw at least 7 mice while there (in counters, on floor, under the bed). We woke to mice droppings all over the previously clean kitchen counter. We also found mouse droppings on the fold out bed/sofa after our child had slept on it! The biggest problem is that when staff was alerted their response was “there are no pests” in the building. They didn’t inspect our unit and stopped responding after that. Also, The noise was incredibly loud. We were placed in the first floor room by the street near the loud door closing at all hours of the day and night. One would expect some loud drunken people on the street (and there was that) being that it’s New Orleans, but there was also a ton of other loud noises. There was loud banging early morning on the first day on the window shutters which were still unsure to its origins. There was construction above us another morning (someone was even using a table saw up there). The rooms were as light as day due to street lights all night long. The shutters are sealed shut so there is no view or balcony as advertised. Instead you are in a boarded up room and the only access in/out is the front door. Also, The water takes 10 min to warm up.

Great location and very clean room
honestly, it fit our needs perfectly

Great accommodation option! The location is great! It seems to me that bad reviews are written by people who expect a 5 star hotel for this price. For an inexpensive option, everything was excellent. The kitchen had everything you need, the sheets were clean.
Noisy air conditioners outside on the patio. when the window is open it is not very comfortable.

Loved the location! so close to everything . You can walk to every! no parking anywhere, so prepare to pay off site.
Could have better AC, no silverware for some reason.,

The bed was comfy
The apartment was definitely not as advertised a total misrepresentation of what to expect. It claimed to be rustic but more like unfinished. Some electric points didn't work. Didn't get access to WiFi until just before leaving. We booked and paid for the apartment based on the photos in your website if we had seen the reality we would never have booked it.

They need to give a better explenation of what self check in is. Also I had no hot water for a shower.

Hot water in the shower. Great water pressure. The ambiance and decor were nice. Having a full kitchen was a treat. The bed and pillows were comfy, I slept really well. I also appreciated the complimentary toiletries. There was also decent coffee, creamer and sugar with a standard drip coffeemaker. I felt safe traveling/being there alone.
The shower had mildew/black mold under the caulking, and generally just needs some care. The couch, while pretty, is like sitting on a board. The doors to the outside are covered with shutters that are nailed shut so you get no natural light. I understand the need with hurricaine season and security for that matter but would have liked natural light. The wifi is bad. There is no way that I could have worked from there. Calls dropped and wifi signal was weak.
