it was an expensive hotel for the conditions offered.
They don't have a double bed, they have 2 single beds.

The location is amazing, very close to the beach and restaurants. We had a really nice view from the balcony. The room was clean and spacious.
Very hard to find parking, the hotel doesn't have private parking. Wifi signal didn't reach our room.

Most of the rooms have great views.
Middle of everything; restaurants, beaches, markets etc.
Helpful crew, clean rooms.

Location of the hotel is amazing
It is literally 20 meters from the beach on the main street surrounded by restaurants, stores, taverns but at the same time there isn’t noise at night at all
Balcony on each rooms could be more private

location was fantastic !
I have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed in my life - absolutely terrible !

The location is excellent. The room was clean.
It the second year in a row we stayed at Ionia Hotel. The owner was rude even from last year, however this year she was worse.
When booking a 3-bed room I was not thinking that it would be a 2-bed room with a 3rd bed pushed inside at all cost (Pics explain what I'm talking about). We couldn't even use the drawers of the sise tables. Stay away of you need room for three people (or even two). When confronted about it the - always bored and miserable - owner she told us "come on now, you know how 3-bed rooms are" Yeah, with turned bedside tables. Come on lady.
Closet space is non existent.
Breakfast was far from good. Overcooked eggs, bad quality cheese and ham. Extremely expensive for what it offered.
Cleaning ladies did not wear covid masks.
The owner is bored and more rude than friendly. We were greeting her everyday and more than once the didn't greet back. Her daughter in law on the other hand is one of the friendliest persons we met on the island.
The A/C was configured at 24C and at High with tape all over it so that we could not avoid freezing.
WiFi was not working.
P.S: Moreover, the owner - after reading my review - called me very angry to yell at me about the "negative" review.

Loved the fact that it was steps away from downtown--places to eat and drink were literally steps away. Also loved that it was steps away from the beach; getting up in the morning and being able to walk to the beach within 5 minutes was wonderful. It was very clean and the balcony overlooked the beach and part of the village. Loved its cleanliness and the updated amenities. The staff was also very nice and personable.
Not a fan of the fact that parking was 5-10 minutes away by foot and up a steep hill. The road in front of the hotel has been paved and cars cannot park. I had to park illegally down a narrow street in front of the hotel and lug the suitcases down a cobblestone street. I was traveling with my elderly mother so lugging suitcases down the street while parked illegally presented a bit of an issue. After I was done getting my mother and the suitcases situated, I had to back the car out and back up the hill (with pedestrians and stores behind me) and through a very narrow street. Also not a fan of the 30 white marble stairs with no handrails that go from the entrance of the property up to the room. If I was traveling with a disabled person, this would have been an impossible situation. My mother is older but still very mobile. If she required a walker or a cane, this would also have been an impossible situation.
