The view from the photos is 100% real. The apartment was clean, nicely illuminated and had all modern facilities like kitchen stove, fridge, coffee maker. The bed was an honest queen. The apt is in 5 min walk from bus stop and 20 min walk from nearest store. There's also a laundry place down the hill in 3 min. Lussy and Santo are the best hosts I've met. They truly added to spirit of Lake Como. When we arrived, Lussy showed us the apt and brought us fresh coffee to make. Later during our stay, while we were sitting on the balcony, Santo brought us fresh cherries from their garden. On our final day Santo gave us a ride to Menaggio bus station. I 100% recommend this place and would definitely come back there once more

Everything was perfect, but I'll put down some things to note. The apt is pretty high up on the hill. As we didn't have a car, going up the hill for 2km wasn't an easy task. The bus stops within 90 minutes, so plan accordingly. Also, the payment is only in cash, so make sure you have the right sum ready. Finally, Lussy and Santo are not fluent in English, so it's the perfect time to learn your basic Italian or have Google Translate ready

The view from the windows and balcony is great. You have a balcony to yourself and a common area in the garden with sun chairs, tables, etc. that you can use whenever you want. You can enjoy the sunset as well. The kindness of the hosts is remarkable. Santo picked us up from the port and showed us around the town. Then we met Lussy who showed us around the apartment. They even brought us plums. Moreover, Santo even drove us back to the centre when we checked out. We were so grateful and happy! During our stay we always had privacy but Lussy and Santo were reachable and there for us when we needed something. You will have everything you need there. We really enjoyed our stay. It was relaxing and quiet in really beautifiul surroundings.

It isn't in the centre, so be prepared to take a walk (about 20 minutes down and 30 minutes back up) to reach the lake. If you have a car, then it's no problem to drive to the town. It wasn't a problem for us, though, as we enjoy walking and climbing the stairs. The higher you climb, the better view you get. :)

The hostess was more than welcoming when we arrived and the views from the balcony with a glass of wine are unbeatable!
