This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Hakone. The facilities are very modern, and the setup is very cool with a bar/restaurant integrated into the property. The on-site onsen is tattoo friendly which was nice.

The location, right beside Gora Station. The room was clean, cozy and spacious.

The water station on 2nd floor sometimes doesn’t work for both cold and room temperature water.

Very closed to Hakone station(3mins walk through an underground passage). Staffs speak English very well without any communication issue. Room is very large and comfortable. Guest can use public bath(spring) for free.

No restaurant for dinner around.

The proximity to the train station (literally around the corner) Western style hotel, room was very big & the bathroom was nice.

- The variety in coffee (something other than filter coffee would have been great) - breakfast was not my favourite, although my boyfriend loved it (50/50) - It would have been nice to receive some tourist information on arrival. For example the popular Hakone shrine on Lake Ashi is closed off to visitors whilst we stayed.

Excellent meal and was great that they had children's meals too. Book the meal in advance as even though it is next to Gora Station there wasn't much anywhere else to eat really nor any groceries stores.

The hotel had comfortable rooms with a decent amount r of space. Wonderful location very close to shopping and transport. We appreciated the small changes to breakfast when it was clear we didn’t eat the original dishes.

The meals were a little over done. We would have been happy with some Japanese choices.

Beds in the mixed dorms were solid and comfortable. Very spacious rooms.

The onsen didn't feel too clean. After going to a paid onsen experience it was much cleaner and better experience overall.

Close to gora station. Onsen was nice. Room was spacious and clean.

Wifi was bad in the room. Windows were not cleaned and traffic was loud sometimes. Pillows were very hard.

Location was very good to different transport options. Staff were kind.

Our upstairs neighbours spent both nights stomping around/ jumping up and down (off their bunks?) Because of the thinness of the walls and echo it was quite bothersome throughout the night.We actually had to go upstairs to find out who was the culprit on the second night. The bed was rock hard and uncomfortable, cleaning was not explained and we found out that unless you ask for it, they don't come and take trash out or change towels. Breakfast was so dismal and limited. The onsen didn't feel clean, and our own personal bathroom wasn't clean either. For the $600 AUD we spent for the 2 nights, we wish we spent this on somewhere else as we have had better stays in Japan for half this cost! We choose this place based on the fantastic reviews on booking.com. This was our most disappointing stay in Japan by far.

Great sized room, very convenient for exploring Hakone. Friendly staff, lovely onsen (small but not busy). The dinner was lovely. We had a la carte with our half board and were able to choose a range of starters, mains and drinks.

There weren't too many food options for fussy Aussie 8yos

Great restaurant on site and Onsen

Location doesn’t get better than this - right outside Gora station and a perfect base to start the Hakone loop. Although not a traditional ryokan, it has an onsen bath which is foreigner friendly - tattoos are accepted and instructions are provided, the frontdesk staff Mio even explained this to us during our check-in! Oh and the dinner set was also really enjoyable.

Toilets and bathrooms are shared and not connected to our rooms, so it’s a bit less convenient in that aspect.

Peaceful location in Gora with easy access to all the transportations. We stayed two nights and enjoyed a lovely breakfast and onsen. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, Japanese style set up, and we even managed to get Netflix to watch a film. Restaurants nearby shut early so you’d need to organise ahead. We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was delicious and reasonable in price.

아침식사도 아주좋고, 저녁식사도 좋았습니다. 아침저녁으로 한 조그만 온천도 좋았습니다. 직원들이 매우 친절하고 방도 좋았구요. 또 역에서 더 가까울수 없을정도로 가깝습니다. 전반적으로 아주아주 만족! 온천 하고 나왔을때 주는 꼬마 탄산음료 센스까지 대 감동

Super friendly hotel within 100m of Gora station and funicular railway. The room are really reasonably priced and good value for money. What’s more they have an excellent kitchen (top class fusion cookery), excellent breakfasts and a great Onsen bath for guests (separate men and women). We had a great stay!

Room carpet looked a little worn but at this price and with the quality of everything else this is a very minor quibble.

The location is easy to find! The facility looks good and clean. The bed is so comfortable and you can enjoy onsen there!

This place was excellent. Fantastic location in the village, spacious rooms, lovely views, great breakfast and dinner. The onsen was a nice experience.
