Michel's apartment was a great place to stay during our visit to Bilbao, and the main reason for that is Michel himself. Before and throughout our stay, Michel made sure to check in with us, to provide us with recommendations and tips, answer questions quickly, and was otherwise a wonderful host (one of the best I've had). He let us drop off our bags early and welcomed us to the apartment with some lovely pastries as well. For breakfast, Michel provided plenty of pastries and cereal, and a ton of fresh fruit (so much that we couldn't finish it all!). Location was good - short walks to most parts of Bilbao, and although it was up the hill from the river, there is an outdoor escalator to take you up most of the way as well. :-) Beds were comfortable and apartment was spacious and very well equipped. Even though there is no A/C, the fans in the apartment kept the place reasonably cool. Would happily return if we're in Bilbao again!
