Elle Cavour Guest House

Wonderful location in Monti near Roma Termini - very safe and walkable for this mom and teen daughter. We requested and was granted an earlier check-in because we were transferring hotels from the Vatican City area that morning. The room was very clean and had everything we needed.

The bathroom was musty. Needed a stronger smelling cleaning product and more ventilation.

The location was perfect, near the metro, many buses, Colosseum and Fountain of Trevi and many other sightseeing within short walking distance. The apartment located in the first floor without elevator, one big bed and another smaller one, large bathroom, small fridge and coffee maker, all as expected and as described in the description and photos. Reaching the apartment was easy and the exchanges with the manager were easy and straighforward, including a really late checkin and flexible checkout.

The only small complain is that the bed was too firm (for my taste) and the noise isolation from the other rooms and corridor could be better (I couldn't here any noise from street though).

Location perfetta per visitare Roma, Per me vicina al luogo di lavoro. Personale gentile, mi hanno permesso di lasciare il bagaglio in deposito. Ottima insonorizzazione!

Niente da segnalare

I liked the location, its proximity to the main station, and the nearby restaurants and cafes. The cleaning service was good.

I didn't like the check-in experience. First, I received many messages on WhatsApp asking when I would arrive, and then when we got there, the person was mumbling and looked grumpy, so I didn't feel welcome at all. Furthermore, around 1 AM, a vibrating sound woke me up the AC unit kept making an annoying "brr" sound every half minute, so I had to turn it off; the air conditioning definitely needs to be fixed. I also didn't like the sound insulation. The street noise comes through the windows as if they are almost open, and the doors inside the apartment also have poor insulation, so whenever someone opens a door in the hallway, you can hear it. The walls are very thin; you can hear guests talking in the next room. The bed squeaks. Given the price they charge, they could put in the effort to renovate.
