Relais Monti

Relais Monti is perfectly situated in one of the best neighbourhoods in Rome. Literally everything is walkable from there. We had a balcony room on the 4th floor (room 404). We really enjoyed the end of day relaxing time on the balcony. AC was a bit noisy but worked very well. We did not take the optional breakfast which we thought was a bit expensive but if you have a big appetite it might be worth it. We preferred having a cornetto and cappuccino at cafes/bars in our street. Room 404 is adjacent to where they serve breakfast so a bit noisy in the morning, especially the coffee machine but it served as an alarm clock for us and we like to start our day early so not too bothered. WIFI worked very well until the last day when it had a few hiccups after a short power outage, overall really good. The bed was comfortable and the sheets changed every other day. Bathroom was a bit on the small side but the shower was a good size. The only real negative about the stay was the lack of hot water. Water was lukewarm at best after making it run for long minutes and the pressure was never really enough to engage the water to the overhead shower head, so only the handheld showered worked. Minor irritation for a couple of days but got to me after 6 days… Staff was very nice and tried to help but couldn't. But overall, would stay there again. Would ask for another room further from breakfast maybe but a positive experience despite the hot water problems.

We enjoyed the location. It’s quite simple, there are no amenities but it’s also a typical boutique European hotel. it as clean and the people were nice. If you’re looking for convenience and simple it works. If you have small children I would not recommend it but older children like mine were fine.

The hotel was nice, a little out of the way, but not bad there were shopping and food options nearby.

The hotel was near by the important attractions! Very convenient. Highly recommended.
