We had an excellent stay at Banana Farm Eco Hostel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the Arusha area. From the very beginning, the owners were incredibly accommodating. We arrived in the middle of the night, but they welcomed us and made checking in completely hassle-free. We only had a short stay, but it was so peaceful and relaxing that we wished we could have stayed longer. The property itself is beautiful and HUGE, incredibly green, lush and full of nature. Our chalet was perfect: spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated, with so many lovely little details. The whole place has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the owners are genuinely lovely people. Breakfast was delicious, and we also had dinner at the hostel, which was excellent and very good value for money. It was lovely to have fresh food prepared with ingredients grown right there on the farm. We also joined the free walking tour of the property, which we really recommend doing. We learnt so much about the banana plantation, the different things they grow, how they use sustainable methods to power and run the farm, and all the vegetables and herbs produced on the property. It made the stay feel like much more than just accommodation. It was a chance to really experience the place. There is so much to enjoy around the property: a swimming pool, an outdoor cinema, beautiful walking paths, the river and even a waterfall. In the evenings, the fire is the perfect place to relax, have a drink and chat with other guests. What we loved most was how peaceful and authentic the whole experience felt. You can tell that a lot of love and care has gone into creating this place. We would definitely recommend Banana Farm Eco Hostel and would love to come back one day. We only wish we had stayed longer!

I loved everything about the farm. So homely and in the heart of nature. The staff are so warm. It is indeed home away from home. Simple yet exotic. It was my birthday weekend and they made it so memorable. Thank you so much Veronica, Regina, Winnie and the guy at the bar I forget his name. Keep up the great work!

Nothing really maybe just to mention if you are someone who likes being online you will be frustrated by the WiFi which was only available for us at the main fireplace. For me this was a very good thing disconnecting from my phone

The off grid cabins are very nice and comfortable. We loved the sound of the river and the clean environment. The meals were also good. It was a great location for our family retreat.

The area around the reception can benefit from a face lift. When we arrived at the property, the welcome was very timid. We had to look for someone to welcome us.
