We had a very pleasant stay at Jua Eco Home. It is a beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by nature, with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Most of the accommodation is made of wood and natural materials, which creates an authentic atmosphere that feels very connected to the local village and surroundings. It is a perfect place to slow down and enjoy the peaceful environment. Every morning, we had a tasty local-style breakfast, which was a perfect way to start the day. We also had the opportunity to see a traditional coffee ritual and the preparation of the coffee, which was a very nice and authentic experience. We also had a nice trip to a nearby waterfall. We really enjoyed our stay at Jua Eco Home and would definitely recommend it.

The staff was all so helpful, and the meals were delicious. The location is a bit of a trek from the main road, but it was so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the tour of the grounds and the coffee farm experience! Overall, a great experience.
The window in our room would not shut, and my sister was not a fan of the chameleon we found inside when we first arrived. But other than that, it was great!

Wonderful people and 2 cute dogs!!! The coffee and village tour was included and we paid an extra 10,000 shillings per person to do a waterfall tour. Joel, Prosper, and all the others were very welcoming and they told us a lot about different fruits, medicinal plants, and the Maasai tribe. There’s also a restaurant in the lodge, where we had the best pilau since we’ve arrived in Tanzania. At night, Joel lit a warm and cozy bonfire.
The mosquito nets had many large holes in them. My two friends didn’t have mosquito nets at all. The soap was a small bar soap shared between three people. Can consider providing shampoo as well :) Breakfast consisted of white bread, avocado, and deep fried foods. I asked for a banana, which the lovely ladies kindly gave me one. Would love to see more fruits, especially since we live next to a fruit garden!

A nice property near waterfalls.
Some of the children who live near the home stay started to dislike me (I don't know why as I mind my own business) and after a few weeks they began organized harassment of me. I got so bad that I couldn't leave the compound at night without being escorted by Wema the owner's wife. The threatening gang is led by a kid called Brighty. These bad kids are called "chokora" by Tanzanians. In such situations the Tanzanians side with their own people. I finally left because I couldn't walk anywhere, even in the day, without some of them shouting insults from their gardens and even as I passed them on the road. I've been all over Tanzania and never experienced such treatment.
