The location was excellent for my purpose. The natural setting is gorgeous, the owners are very friendly and helpful.

When I arrived the power was off. Later that same day there was no water. The wifi kept going in and out. The owners rescue dogs and there are about 12 on the property; they are not trained and barked all night long, keeping me awake. I had to ask for a towel, and I had specifically asked if there was hot water when I booked the place and was told yes. There was no hot water. The owners lock the front gates every day at 5 PM, which I did not know beforehand. Luckily, I made it back to the property on time.

The location is nice and the environment could be nice, but the hostal had a “For Sale” on it and it looked like nothing has been done to maintain or improve it for a long time.

The bed was an underinflated air mattress on a box spring. Multiple dogs barked all night long. Fred checked us in and was a nice enough guy, but Lita was unhelpful and made us feel unwelcome from the very start. We chose this place, in part, due to the Wi-Fi as we depend on that daily. We did not get the password upon checking, called Lita about 6:30 pm asking for it. Called back at 7 pm asking again. Finally got it but it did not work on any of our devices. Called many more times until bedtime but she never answered the phone again. In the morning, Fred informed s that this was not u usual and he had to reset the router - but why wait until morning!? We did not wait any longer as by that time all we wanted to do was leave. Worst hostel experience in decades of hostel traveling.
