OCEANFRONT Waves - Sea Vista Dr. CAROLINA DUNE ha tutto per una bella vacanza con la tua famiglia. L'accesso alla spiaggia non potrebbe essere più facile che camminare sulla duna direttamente dalla tua proprietà, e il pacchetto di servizi a casa offre intrattenimento, più aree comuni e sistemazione per la notte flessibile. Un tuffo nella piscina privata fronte oceano è un ottimo modo per iniziare la vacanza con molti posti a sedere e lo spazio intorno alla piscina. La vasca idromassaggio per 6 persone è nascosta sotto casa per proteggersi dalle intemperie e una doccia esterna fornisce un risciacquo rinfrescante da una lunga giornata al mare. All'interno della casa, una sala giochi ti accoglie al primo livello con tavolo da biliardo, comodo divano posto davanti a un grande schermo TV con lettore BluRay e sistema audio, wet bar con mini-frigo e un tavolo da gioco per giochi da tavolo o puzzle. Scegli tra quattro deliziose camere da letto a metà piano della casa, tra cui 2 camere matrimoniali re con box doccia piastrelle nei loro bagni privati. Le altre due camere da letto a questo livello, 1 con 2 set di letti a castello e l'altra con 2 letti singoli, condividono la sala da bagno. Trova un'altra camera da letto principale sul livello superiore della casa con bagno privato, vista sull'oceano e accesso al ponte. La grande sala stupisce con soffitti a volta, travi a vista, pavimento in legno ed eleganti arredi a tema spiaggia. Radunati intorno alla TV a grande schermo con lettore BluRay per goderti i tuoi programmi preferiti o guardare attraverso le ampie finestre della vista sull'oceano. La cucina non deluderà con elettrodomestici in acciaio inossidabile, pavimento di piastrelle, controsoffitti di lusso e backsplash e bar per la colazione con posti a sedere per 4. La sala da pranzo è nascosto accanto alla cucina con vista sull'oceano, e un mezzo bagno offre comodità. Per un po 'di tranquillità fuori dal gruppo, rilassati nella tana di livello superiore con TV a grande schermo, lettore DVD e divano letto. Due livelli di piano ammobiliato forniscono sia l'ombra che il sole per scappare con un buon libro o assaporare con la brezza marina il caffè del mattino. We loved the house and location. Both are beautiful. Everything is as described in the listing. Pretty much everything you need in the kitchen to cook meals, if desired. The mattresses are descent...good but not great. We would definitely stay here again.
As a side note, be careful at the bottom of the hardwood steps where they turn. The steps get quite narrow and are very slick. If you’re wearing socks only, it’s very likely you’ll fall. My wife and I had both fallen from about the third step within the first 24 hours of being there, and were highly active and in our 30’s. If we’re the first and only to fall on these steps I’d be shocked.

The pool area was amazing. The house was pretty nice. Washer didn't work but it was fixed that day. Housekeeping wasn't the best...pullout still had linens from previous people...dirty carpet with toys from previous guests under coffee table. Def mention walk over the duned is tough with babies and toddlers.
Beach was beautiful though. Nice and private :) We would stay there again.

The location get five stars, the house gets four stars and the booking process/hospitality gets one star.
Booking:
• The nightly, date-specific rate jumped significantly over the originally advertised rate at booking (apples-to-apples—neither rate inclusive of taxes). Why?
• Upon booking, VRBO charged us a their (expected) fee and ditched us. Everything else was done off-line directly with Surf or Sound (SoS), the rental company.
• SoS stated that an expensive damage insurance policy was mandatory. This was never disclosed until the entire vacation became non-refundable.
• SoS charged a significant fee for using a credit card, plus sales tax on the fee! This, too, was never disclosed before booking.
• The fees felt like extortion given the non-refundable status of the booking. We felt angry and resentful before ever setting foot on the property.
• SoS suggested I book directly with them next time, cutting out VRBO. This, they said, would have offset their undisclosed fees. Ethics?
Communication—overall, contradictory and money grabbing:
• We were told we needed to pick up a key at the office and we were told we had an electronic lock and didn’t need a key. Which one?
• Linens? We were told bed linens and towels, bed linens only, no linens. It was bed linens only but—amazingly— there was a service that would sell us towel service for the week!
• SoS bombarded us with emails offering to rent/sell surfboards, kayaks, tours, etc. It bristled coming from the company that bilked us for undisclosed fees.
Location:
• Fantastic! The house is located on a quiet street. The beach is beautiful.
The House:
• Photos are accurate; the house is really nice overall.
• The star of the house is the third floor.
• Stairs are steep, slippery and cut around corners meaning they taper to two inches wide in places. The handrails don’t run around the corners.
• The electricity went out on us five times over 30 hours.
• Bad water stains and drywall damage on the third floor ceiling.
• Ceiling damage on first floor.
• The detergent dish on the dishwasher is broken.
• The toilet in the third floor master bedroom randomly runs.
• Bed linen packs were short on pillowcases.
• The hot tub wasn’t ready.
• No tables on the decks.
• Minor ant issue. Disturbing issue with pest control company that showed up unannounced and fled when we tried to interact with them.
Nice house, great location, a little cold on service.
