Great service from staff - food was nice and traditional and they took our food allergies seriously.
The bath was amazing but unfortunately the wooden floor was very mouldy and also inside the room, there was lots of dust.

We LOVED it here! We are staying in japan for 3 weeks, going to many places all over the country, and this just blew us away! the scenery, the staff, the attentiveness is 10/10! My husband and I don’t drink alcohol and they didn’t bat an eye, and even gave us special drinks throughout our stay. And I myself have a dairy allergy, and they took amazing care to ensure all meals were safe. We loved it here so much!
it is a little ways to get to.. it took us total 7 hours out of our way on multiple trains and busses in the rain.. but it was well worth it once we got there! :)

The view and friendliness of the staff. They explained the overall experience from dinner and breakfast times to where things were and what can be requested
It wasn’t a downside to us but for some the location can be a bit away from the main area and attractions of Hakone.

Staff were super , the private bath was fabulous and the meals were heavenly
