Was good, had no hot water and had it sorted within a couple hours. Easy to get in contact. Nice little getaway

A typical kiwi bach. However, it was a bit down at heel, in need of maintenance. Not well cleaned before we got there (debris under bed, sofas etc). Right on the beach, which was lovely for walks, but unsafe for swimming, which we didn't know before we got there. We had a good time nonetheless.

Booked for 2 days to enjoy a long weekend at the beach but only ended staying for one night. Unfortunately we were unhappy with the cleanliness and couldn't escape the old house smell. Was alittle disappointed by the overall presentation of the house compared to the photos shown. It's a great spot but we feel it was very expensive compared to what was shown on the website. If it was cheapier than you wouldn't mind it but at the premium price asked we felt very ripped off.

Absolutely loved our stay, the view is amazing. Had issues with lighting but overall was great. Would deff stay again

A rustic beach property in a relaxing private location. Amazing views. Perfect for a family with the added bonus of bringing our dogs. Had the beach outside the property to ourselves for surfcasting and roasting marshmallows on both nights. A nice family getaway : )

If you want to relax and get away from it all this is the place to be.

My partner and I so enjoyed our stay, not long enough. Cosy, Rustic, Quiet, Beautiful views. We had the holiday we were hoping for, relaxing, coffee & wine on the sand, steps away from house watching the sunset was just what we needed, lovely area. We enjoyed meeting the manager and she was ever so accommodating. We will definitely make this our secret getaway.

We booked this house because it allowed us to bring our two dogs. The property has a fenced back yard which is great. Location is excellent, beside a beautiful beach (no swimming), close to local mountain-bike park and 15 mins drive to Napier CBD. There is another house at the back of the property so the driveway is shared. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The house itself is not in good condition and we had some maintenance issues while we were there. There was a leak in the ceiling of the upstairs bedroom and halfway through our stay, the only toilet broke because the cistern was not properly affixed to the wall. When the toilet broke, the owner's voicemail said she was out of cell-phone range for several days. We hadn't been given an alternative emergency contact so we had to organise an on-call plumber ourselves. The plumber told us that the repair he did was not permanent and more work is needed soon. The owner later refunded us the cost of the repairs and said she is looking to renovate the property during 2022. Overall - great location and good if you are travelling with dogs but house itself needs some work.

This suited our family needs coming from 3 different directions. Surf casting right outside the front door. So cool for family gathering to include the dog.

The location is nice but the house could have been cleaner. There was dust and hair on the floors, the blanket on the couch still had dog hair from previous tenants, and there are mice in the house, mainly in the hot water cylinder cupboard but my 12 year old daughter found mouse poo on her bed on the second day. The shower water pressure is shocking. The outside of the property is a bit neglected. Other than that we had a good stay.

Fantastic location. Unfortunately the property needs maintenance. The shower didn't work and we had to boil the jug to get enough hot water for dishes amongst other things.

We had a lovely week at this property. Great location, overlooking the beach, beautiful sunrises. As others have noted, it is a rustic, no frills bach, but was clean and tidy, very comfortable beds and nice crisp linen, duvets, blankets. Being open and right across from the beach it would be great in summer - though the beach is rough for swimming. The house is compact, so in cold/windy weather it was quite tight downstairs for a group of six plus a dog - but the sunny upstairs room overlooking the ocean is spacious and sunny. In winter the house is quite cold, but if you get the fire going and keep it stoked up when you go to bed, it is quite cosy. Owner was responsive and helpful.
