The location was amazing, tucked away in the forest on top of a mountain, and we really enjoyed our stay.
The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was pretty well equipped.
It was cleaned daily which was nice. The cottage was fairyly close to Haernertbsurg so with only a few KM of good dirt road we could easily explore our days exploring the surrounds and then come back to chill and braai.
Unfortunately, our neighbours did not adhere to the 8 -8 quite time and were generally quite inconsiderate.
We were slightly misled by the photos on the website being of the bigger house and not clearly marked as such, so my initial thought when arriving was that the cottage was a bit smaller than anticipated and not quite as well equipped - but the hosts met my requests very quickly and we were set up in no time.. then just relaxed and enjoyed the place.

Beautiful views and the fireplace in the open plan lounge was amazing! Wood was provided for the fire and it warmed the entire room. The kitchen was well kitted it with cutlery, cups, glasses, tea and coffee. The house itself was so lovely and the beds downstairs were very comfy. It was a great place for a girls trip with friends!
Bathroom door on the lower floor did not close/was jammed and the TV had no sounds. These are small fixes so can’t really complain.

It was clean, spacious and overall a beautiful place.
We could not warm up our food due to no electricity, although the generator was on the microwave did not work. Furthermore we had a cold shower in the morning as there was no warm water.
