Our group had a fantastic week at this beach house. The house had a very "home away from home" feel to it. We loved the screened in porch and quick access to the beach. The owner is very helpful and was available to answer any questions we had. I couldn't recommend a better house.

We had a great time at this beautiful beach house! The house is in a great location right on the beach, and a few short blocks to downtown Bethany Beach. We took long walks on the beach and walked to the boardwalk for the cute cafes and restaurants. It is a quiet neighborhood and our kids were able to scooter in the bike lane to downtown. The small private beach area in front of the dune is also nice so parents can relax on the deck while kids play in the sand. The inside decor is peaceful and perfectly beachy, with gorgeous custom woodwork. Highly recommend this house for a fun-filled and relaxing vacation!

We had a perfect stay at this lovely house. We would definitely come back. It’s a beautiful spacious and neat house, right on the beach, and the owners super nice and helpful!!

We loved our stay at Barbara and Alan’s home at Bethany. The location can’t be beat, right on beach, with easy access to the amenities at Sea Colony and the restaurants of downtown Bethany. Barbara was responsive and the place was clean and well appointed. We’ll be back!

The location is perfect, just steps to the ocean & a large deck to sit on & enjoy the views. Communication from the homeowner was efficient & very helpful. Barbara was more than accommodating, which assured our stay was everything we needed. Truly can't wait to go back to this gem on the ocean in Bethany.

We had a wonderful family escape to the beach while juggling work and school during the week. The location cannot be beat! It was wonderful to hit the beach a few times a day for walks and for play. We hope to visit again next year!

This house is awesome! It was clean and perfect for us. Best of all, location was great and neighborhood was quiet. I will definitely rent this house again and highly recommend it!

This was a great house for four long time friends to get together. The layout was good, the outside screened deck was our most popular spot. Wonderful warm weather for early May made the sunrise and beach time perfect. The sound of the ocean, looking out over the dunes, the closeness to town - it was all good!

As a military for years, our kids lived in DC and then moved overseas for years. We moved back to Northern Virginia. Our kids had never been to Ocean City, nor Bethany. We let them bring friends and decided to rent this house for our stay. It was absolutely perfect and the rate for the Sea Colony pass was epic at the off season rate of $12/person for the entire week. We played pickleball and worked out every day. The location of this home could not be better with beach access right outside off the back deck. The house was roomy and all four teens were able to have privacy and their own bed. We also were able to separate boy and girl bathrooms, along with our separate master bath. We had everything we needed to make family meals and could easily walk to town to dine out. We felt completely safe letting the kids bike to town. Our son turned eighteen today and there was even tools, and a muffin tray for me to make him cupcakes. Thanks for a wonderful location for our amazing Spring Break. From start (fresh flowers and a hand written note) to a text goodbye, these owners are a class act. Happy Easter!

We all enjoyed our stay and the house worked well for our family of 6 adults and 3 children. Plenty of room for everyone and you couldn’t beat the location right on the beach. Barbara and Alan were great hosts. Quick to respond to any questions and even took time over the holidays to check in and make sure we were enjoying our vacation.

Great location! Beautiful to be on the beach in the winter. So peaceful and quiet. Can watch sunrise from the living room - very cozy. We saw a bald eagle catch a fish right in front of the house! Owners were extremely easy to work with and very kind. Thank-you for a much needed mini-vacation!

Stayed here in the off season for a girl's weekend and it was wonderful! The only negative was that , in the write up, it says there are 2 rooms with 2 twin beds, but in the second room, the twins were out together to make a king size. It was fine, but just would have been good to know for planning purposes. The owners were very nice and accommodating!

Great location right on beach. Quiet area. Nice separation with upstairs and main floor bedrooms allowing everyone space. 3 baths a huge plus. we had a wonderful time !

Beautiful location! Thanks for the heads up about the linens prior to arrival, which minimized the aggravation of doing laundry before departure. This should have been included in the listing. A call to the owners concerning 'only hot water' in washing machine irregardless of the setting WAS promptly addressed. However it required TWO service calls on consecutive days to identify the problem. Washing and rinsing in hot setting only was definitely an inconvenience and potentially damaging to some materials, much less an increase in utility costs. The owners were sensitive enough to not push the third service call on our last full day, this happened b/c we missed the plumber's attempt to contact. We happened to be on the beach, which is beautiful! The last significant issue was the overall cleanliness of property. There was sand left on landing and stairs. We realize that this is the beach, but upon arrival? Dusting/vacuum behind furniture (popcorn in the den, throat lozenge lost behind night stand, and a colony of dust bunnies behind the door in upstairs hallway bathroom) was inadequate and superficial. The bathroom mats were dirty and had to be taken up! The lid on kitchen trashcan was dirty with dried debris and stains from whenever. We cleaned it and used the trashcan without lid. We strongly recommend a different cleaning service who pays attention to detail. The ice maker was great! It made more cubes than we could use! The proximity to beach and access to nearby pools was truly the highlight as time spent in the house itself just revealed the neglect this home has suffered. This was especially disappointing since the owners themselves use the property, which should have given them a personal assessment of the conditions. The owners decline any effort to account for/rectify our mixed feelings on this stay.

Loved it but recommend a tv in the main living room.
