This is a great location! We brought our little pug puppy. There’s a dog beach at the end of the block so this is perfect. We enjoyed The Crow’s Nest and the Market next door. Also loved Zelda’s and Armida tasting room in Capitola. The cottage itself is charming but a little tight. We were out enjoying the beautiful weather so it wasn’t a big deal. 73* in January! Overall it was lovely.

Clean, quiet, just what we needed. Will stay here again. Loved walking two blocks to the beach!

Was originally going to keave a 4 out of 5 star review because i had to end up sleeping on the floor due to the mattresses being really lumpy and causing me severe back and neck pain in the morning. However, she is currently texting me claiming i left feces everywhere!!! She is also trying to charge me $200 to clean alleged feces. My husband and I cleaned the property before leaving and even sent her a message letting her know how we left the property clean. So bizarre. Do not recommend. Feels like she is trying to scam us for extra money.

Location is good, as you can walk to the beach. Host was nice enough to allow early check in. But ... floors so sticky we couldn't walk barefoot on them. Cheap, polyester sheets and bedding made for night sweating and no way to dry out. She went for 'beach' look instead of sleep comfort. Layout sucks since the wall she put the bed on doesn't allow room for two nightstands, so one person is out of luck. Kitchen had coffee and two coffee makers, so we thought we were set for that, BUT filters didn't fit either one, no sugar and only powdered vanilla (yuk) creamer. Bathroom switches not wired correctly, so you can't use the heat in there and light at the same time. No luggage rack in empty closet, so had to use the only seating in the room for luggage. Had 2 wine glasses, YAY, but ... couldn't even put them on the dining table, due to wobble and uneven wicker top. Suggest Lana that you stay there yourself one night and experience what your guests do. All this and you jacked the price $40/night before we booked. Glad it was only 2 days! Anne

This little studio is adorable. It was clean, nice light, quiet area, and close to the beach. It is a small but spacious studio, with enough kitchen to be comfortable, a nice bathroom, comfy mattress, wifi - great for a little weekend getaway for just two. It was perfect for my husband and me.

Strong disinfectant smell upon entering. Inadequate supply of glassware and dishes. Vanity light not working over bathroom sink. A studio, not a 1 bedroom as advertised. No stove. Fitted sheet elastic was gone so sheets were very wrinkled and uncomfortable by the 2nd night, making it difficult to sleep. Faint marks on linens were from mascara...try laundry soap and water...certainly not damage. Washing long hair twice left 8-10 hairs on dark drain, dramatically splayed out for photo op does not constitute filth. I carefully squeegied the shower 4x. Don't advertize 2 blocks from a beach (actually 3 1/2 blocks) and then call it damage if you find a little sand on the floor...simply mop/vacuum. NO private patio as stated. NOT dog friendly. An aggressive dog stays on the property. Small clump of doghair on rug is not damage when I paid a cleaning fee AND an extra pet fee for 4 nights. Lana fabricated photos of poop, pee staged to extract an extra $250 in "damages." The picture of dog poop is not even my dog who never had access to ANY grass. After the other dog on property attacked my dog, with Lanas permission, I blocked the opening between the two yards with a large bbq. Since she fabricated the poop picture, she likely also fabricated the urine in the toilet left unflushed, a flush fix not filth/damage in a dark bathroom. We did nothing but be courteous and were gone everyday. The drama and false accusations are beyond insulting.
