The only reason I gave a 4 out of 5 stars was because on our very last night 3 people from our group went home before the rest of us because of something that had happened to one of our travelers eyes and she needed to go home and lay down right away. When they got back to the place, the number for the door pad would not work. Across from the key pad on the door was another key pad with an actual key that we had no access to. I contacted the emergency number and someone was out within the 15 minutes but from the time all of this began they sat out in the heat on the porch for about 45 minutes. My only suggestion would be to have a key available for a situation like this. It normally would not have mattered, but it was uncomfortable for her to sit there and wait and it was frustrating to get home and not be able to get in the house. And you have no idea when the battery is going to go out so I know this situation probably doesn't happen much but a back up plan would have been nice. Other than that, everything else was perfect. Cute place, clean, cool, great location and I would definitely recommend.

Perfect Location. This apartment is one building away from the corner of Whitehead (where many attractions are located) and Fleming, where the "End of Highway One" marker is located. Walking up Fleming for one long block takes you to Duval. There is a CVS on the corner of Fleming and Duval. The unit is the second floor of two identical historic homes, joined by an enclosed landing between the two kitchens. Each side has a master suite with bath and a smaller bedroom with attached bath. A small living room with full kitchen, separated by a eat-at bar with four stools, completes each unit. The landing between the two kitchens opens to the stairs to the back yard which has a small pool, lounge chairs and a table/chairs. This 4 bedroom/4 bath apartment has plenty of room for 8 adults. All areas have been tastefully remodeled.We missed not having a small kitchen table in the living area, but there really isn't room. Most supplies are available, but shampoo/conditioner/body wash and Kleenex are not provided. There is a hairdryer and iron, and a washer/dryer and dishwasher on each side. Note that this is a second-floor unit with no elevator. The agency's offices are on the first floor, so you are not sharing the back yard and pool with other tenants.The owners/company agents were superb in responding to our questions, and they also offer concierge services to assist with purchasing attraction tickets, arranging transportation, etc.

Positives- the location was the BEST we could have hoped for! Walking to anything and everything we wanted to do was easy! The bedrooms are large and there are 4 full bathrooms so our adult children had plenty of space to spread out and having two sets of washers and dryers was great when we were packing to head home. We also very much enjoyed the pool in the backyard- it is small, but perfect for soaking after a day in the sun! Negatives- We were NOT prepared for roosters screaming at 3, 4, 5 am. I would definitely recommend earplugs. There is street noise pretty much all the time, but this is no different than any downtown city area so we were not bothered by this. The house definitely has an insect problem. The property listing and information state that ants and palmetto bugs are common due to being in a tropical area. Being from Florida (Destin, Fort Walton Beach), I am very familiar with the Florida insects and was not deterred by these statements. However, we had ants covering the kitchen every morning, even attacking food that was completely sealed and found an infestation in the microwave (which we did not even use for food). We saw several palmetto bugs and they were not moving slowly, which tells me perhaps there is not regular pest control service. The worst part was that almost our whole family (5 out of 7 people) woke up each morning covered in bug bites (not mosquitos) that were not there when we went to bed- roaches/bedbugs?
