We have stayed at the end of Gulf Shore Drive (East Pass area) many times; this area, at least for us, has not been as crowded, and there is water on both sides of this stretch of land. We have recently returned from a relaxing week in Jeanne's unit. From the moment we entered, we got the feeling that we were actually in someone's personal home - great care has been taken in the accoutrements, maintenance, and decor. It is apparent that it belongs to someone with taste. This ambience is something that greatly contributes to the entire vacation experience. It is such a lovely and comfortable place, accented by artwork and photography taken by the actual family members. The kitchen is well-equipped both in design and in appliances and tools. There are also beach towels and chairs, which means you don't have to lug all of this stuff from home. I have stayed in VRBO homes in several countries, and this one is the winner. I look forward to returning.

Nothing but fabulous things to say about our stay. The condo is in a perfect location and the private beach is worth everything. Beautiful place to stay and communication with owner was seamless. She was super responsive and helpful at all times. Highly recommend!!!

Wow! We had a fantastic week at Jeanne's condo! The condo was amazing and had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay! Especially the kitchen! The view from every room was breath taking. We loved watching the dolphins play and boats passing by in the clear blue water! The beach chairs and umbrellas made trips to the beach easy and convenient. Our boys enjoyed the fitness center and tennis court.
The location couldn't be better. The complex is a low density complex, so crowds were never a problem. We were close by many different options for entertainment and dining! I would highly recommend Jeanne's condo! We will definitely be back!

If you're wavering, stop and book it! You won't regret it!! We have been to the Destin area several times, but this was by far the best rental we've experienced. Jeanne is amazing! From beginning to end, she was attentive, responsive, helpful and caring. Going above and beyond at times, which is rare. This unit is in the Waterview Towers on Holiday Isle, just adjacent to the Destin Harborwalk, and is a quick elevator ride up one floor. The floor plan of the unit is the best we've seen. Upon entry, you'll notice the love and care Jeanne & David have put into maintaining their vacation home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There were plenty of throw blankets too. This condo unit was very CLEAN and so was everything in it! The bathrooms were stocked and we enjoyed the use of some items. We liked the "replace it if you use the last of it" mentality. The kitchen was also stocked, which is always a plus. Two closets were full of games and beach towels and supplies. These hosts literally thought of everything! Adding all the comforts of home so that their guests can have a most relaxing vacation. The balcony is huge with plenty of seating and provides a lovely spot to enjoy the dolphins, boats, and gorgeous sunsets! This boutique building only houses 15 units and is well manicured. It was never loud and people mostly adhered to the quiet hours which was nice. There appeared to be fitness and laundry on every floor. The pool area is large and it's adjacent to the private beach area, with white powdery sand, overlooking the ocean. My husband enjoyed surf fishing right on the private beach...just be sure to get your Florida fishing license! The public beaches are just an easy, quick walk away and also very nice. There's a marina across the 2-lane road in front of the building. At times it can be busy with people trying to park for a day at the beach, but this is nothing unusual in Florida. The surrounding area is very safe and you will find plenty of people walking, running, and riding bikes. Holiday Isle is less crowded than Destin but conveniently located to Destin and Okaloosa. You can get to the Destin Harborwalk by car or water taxi (except during the winter). When we return to Destin, we will definitely stay at Jeanne & David's place!!

Wow is the first word that came to mind as soon as we walked it. The condo is beautiful, well maintained and stocked with whatever you could possibly need. We enjoyed our week so much that we booked for July before we left!!! See you again soon

This condo was fantastic! Everything was top notch. The balcony is amazing. We spent a ton of time watching the dolphins which we saw everyday. We even got to see them hunting fish which was really fun to see. We really enjoyed the beach nearby as it was quiet and not a lot of people there. We loved the coves that were there on the point. The pool at the condo was heated. This was a big plus for us and our kids as we went at the beginning of April and the water would have been pretty cold if it wasn't. Jeanne is a fantastic host. She's very warm and welcoming! Would highly recommend this condo!

Had a great trip to this unit. The decor was fabulous, had all the cooking supplies, you could ever need. Very comfortable furniture. Met the owners and they were very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come here again!!

We loved staying in this cozy, cute condo! Jeanne was superb! I feel like we are friends. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and beautiful water, sea animals, boats coming in and out of harbor and of course the wonderful sunsets! I highly recommend making this a vacation must!

Ms. Jeanne was a wonderful, friendly host. During some technology issues before we arrived, she was easy to get in touch with and very helpful.
The property was clean and better than the pictures. We had easy access to restaurants, etc., but were also just far enough out of the way of traffic. The view was beyond gorgeous. We can't say enough good things about our experience.

Beautifully decorated and loved all the lighting. We cooked several nights and had everything we needed. Loved the fresh seafood from the local market. Sunsets are amazing night after night from the balcony. Enjoyed the Fireworks on Thursday and Friday nights in the Harbor. Dolphins, Manta Rays, Pelicans, Ospreys right off the balcony. Multiple beaches nearby. Loved the Destin Fishing museum and the Air Force museum. Really enjoyed the town of Seaside. Also enjoyed the Crab Trap restaurant near Crystal Beach and McGuires Irish Pub. Will definitely be back. Some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen!!!

We stayed at Jeanne's condo earlier this month and absolutely enjoyed it! The condo was nice and very comfortable -- had all the amenities of home, with the addition of lovely views of the sea. As others have mentioned, the condo is nicely appointed with fantastic decor, and big enough so you're not cramped. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook up great meals, which was great. It's true that the condo doesn't have direct beach access, but the pool is a great tradeoff -- it was always very quiet, and several times we were the only ones in the pool area. The kids loved it!
We would love to come back. It's already booked (by someone else!) for our Spring Break next year, but we'll be back at some point! Thank you, Jeanne, for being a great host.

We stayed at Jeanne's condo earlier this month and absolutely enjoyed it! The condo was nice and very comfortable -- had all the amenities of home, with the addition of lovely views of the sea. As others have mentioned, the condo is nicely appointed with fantastic decor, and big enough so you're not cramped. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook up great meals, which was great. It's true that the condo doesn't have direct beach access, but the pool is a great tradeoff -- it was always very quiet, and several times we were the only ones in the pool area. The kids loved it!
We would love to come back. It's already booked (by someone else!) for our Spring Break next year, but we'll be back at some point! Thank you, Jeanne, for being a great host.

We saw dolphins, manatees, and sea turtles along with many fish on beach during our time. Rides on the water taxi to dinner were fantastic as were sunsets from the beach/unit. We went to the many surrounding beaches and enjoyed the access to everything we had. Views from the unit were awesome as are the views when enjoying a morning workout exercise room. Jeanne is a great communicator and responsible owner to make sure stay is fantastic. Thanks!

The kids enjoyed the pool area and walks down Noriega Point in the sand for snorkeling adventures. We trailered our boat over and the boat slip/marina were as convenient as one could hope for. Even a fish cleaning table if you happened to get lucky!
We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Destin and would highly recommend it to others, especially with the added benefit of Jeanne as your host!

This was our second time staying in Waterview Towers. In fact, the last trip we took was in Sept. of 2020 to Destin. We were there just after a hurricane hit the area a week or so before our arrival. We knew it was gorgeous last year, but we wanted to revisit the area to see the water without the impact of the hurricane on the area. The views from this condo were wonderful. Truly mesmerizing to me and my family!! I love this location because one can easily get to 3 different beach areas. I'm a walker so walking to be beach is no big deal to me, or my family. Jeanne's condo was perfect for 4 adults. The bathrooms have all been updated and were well lit. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed and them some. I loved extra towels and other supplies that were left for us. I almost hate to say too much, as people will catch on to the location and make it harder to return!!! I keep telling my friends, if you have never been to Destin, go, because it's the prettiest ocean water I have ever seen that is swimmable in the USA. (That doesn't mean I have been everywhere, but it sure beats NC beaches, California, or Maine!) Thank you Jeanne, we will be back!!!

This property is truly amazing! It’s so close to the waterfront that it felt like we were on a cruise when looking outside! The best is that the bedrooms have windows on two walls so you feel truly surrounded by the ocean. We saw dolphins swimming outside our window on an almost hourly basis! The whole property is very tidy and the hot tub and pool were great. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Absolutely loved the decor throughout - very comfortable and well-done. Thanks to the owners for sharing this slice of heaven!

We were looking for a great beach condo for spring break with our children 6 and 8. Our priority was to be in a beautiful location away from the crowds. Jeanne’s condo was perfect for us. It is perfectly appointed with everything one may need. The owners actually live there part of the year, so there is a fully stocked kitchen for cooking or grilling beautiful seafood from the market - and the furniture and beds are all very comfortable. It is very nicely decorated and the bathrooms are fully renovated. The view from the very large balcony overlooking the water was spectacular. We didn’t feel the need to dine out. It was much better to watch the dolphins and birds and beautiful sunsets. The owner was a joy to work with and had wonderful suggestions for day trips and restaurants. We drove to check out Rosemary beach and Seaside (as this is where many families from Houston go-we wanted to see what it’s like) and those places -while undoubtedly beautiful- were packed with teenagers some of them smoking on their bikes. No masks anywhere. So glad we didn’t stay there. The fact that the condo is not on a natural beach was not a deal breaker for us. It sits over a private beach enclosed with rocks where children can play but not get in the water. The pool and hot tub were never very busy. You can walk 2 minutes from the condo on the beach to Noriego point where some people swim. It is not busy at all. We found many hermit crabs there. Apparently there is great snorkeling there as well, but it was a little cold to try. We did go to the Henderson State Park beach (10 min drive) as this is where you find the emerald color water and white sand and the kids loved swimming there. As this is a paying beach the crowds weren’t too bad. I wouldn’t have rented a condo on one of the public beaches as I’m not one who enjoys rows of rental chairs and therefore Jeanne’s condo was perfect with the best of both worlds. It is close to everything and the new Whole Foods nearby is stunning. There are many attractions nearby for children if this is what you’re interested in. We had a wonderful time and so glad we came.

An ocean view like no other
This property is truly amazing! It’s so close to the waterfront that it felt like we were on a cruise when looking outside! The best is that the bedrooms have windows on two walls so you feel truly surrounded by the ocean. We saw dolphins swimming outside our window on an almost hourly basis! The whole property is very tidy and the hot tub and pool were great. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Absolutely loved the decor throughout - very comfortable and well-done. Thanks to the owners for sharing this slice of heaven!
