We really enjoyed staying here. They had everything we needed. It was a great location for seeing downtown Manitou Springs. We walked everyday, and we didn't need to drive anywhere.

Simply put, perfect, quiet, parking, access!!
Two families of 4 (Teens 13-15) stayed several nights and this property is perfect. Walking or biking (provided by property) access to downtown Manitou. Don't question it, just book with confidence! 6 total beds are available so everyone had their own bed to sleep on. Adults 2 per bed, kiddos each had their own. Perfect!

This home was exactly as advertised, and more. From the moment we walked in the door, it felt like home. Plenty of room for living, entertaining, and eating. I was there with my children/spouses/grandkids at various times. There was room for everyone. We spent so much time in the kitchen cooking; and in the dining room eating and playing cards. Also, many hours sharing memories in the living room. Then when everyone got restless, we walked around Manitou Springs. . . .gorgeous! Can't say enough about this host/home. Would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful historic property located within walking distance of downtown Manitou. Creek runs right by the property adding that special sound. Great place will definitely be staying there again.

Blocks from downtown on a road that's easy to walk. Beautiful house. I mean... OMG. The AC and heat were really strong. Beds were super comfy. I couldn't complain if I wanted to.

Tough entrance
We chose the property due to its location. We have a number of guests with health issues and wanted to be within walking distance of the shops. Upon arriving we found that there was no automobile entry, as the city was pouring a sidewalk in front of the driveway. Upon notifying one of the owners, they stated they were unaware of the issue, however another owner was on premises when we arrived, so obviously was aware we would not be able to park on site, however we were not notified. We had to park at a hotel next door and carry our bags and groceries to the house. The only access was through a very narrow gap between a privacy fence and a garage. Needless to say, very trying for a group of older folks with health issues. Had we been previously warned or had there been anything available for day-of arrival, we would have made other arrangements, but neither was the case. I was refunded a paltry $50 per night by the owners, which was truly insufficient based on the excess trouble, stress, and initial rate.
The home itself is adequate with a nice outdoor space, once one has made the trek on to the property.

My group of friends and I really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs, which was really nice since parking there can be impossible sometimes. The house was amazing. A historic treasure, for sure. The accommodations were comfortable, and the house well laid out for a larger group.
Here are the negatives: The house could have been a bit cleaner. Just needed a little extra TLC in that department.
Several of the lamps were either broken altogether, or the light bulbs were burnt out. It would have been nice to have working lamps in the more common areas.
There are TV's in every room, but it's a system that's hard to figgure out. It's all streaming, but we couldn't figure out out to get most of the TV''s to work. We finally got the one in the front "parlor/living room" to work, but either the batteries were no good in most of the remotes, or the correct remotes were not in the right rooms. Even with the one TV we could get to work, we had to manually change the channels, and work the volume, on the TV itself. None of the remotes worked. This could be remedied by making sure the right remotes are in the right rooms, the batteries work, and the instructions for working the TVs are better explained in the guide book for the house.
Overall, these are minor things, and our stay was lovely. The house is great! We would definitely stay there again.

Everything was great. The house is about a 5 minute walk to town, probably a good thing since you do not have to deal with traffic. Construction in front of the house right now. Property manager was very responsive!

This was a great experience-- my friends truly enjoyed their stay. I did notice a few cobwebs, dust under the beds, and some utensils left dirty in the drawer-- just a heads up for less forgiving tenants.
I understand that this is a large property to maintain and I appreciate the effort to make each room homey and inviting.
