This place is so clean and nice.The View from my room had was looking rigth at Ella Rock. its very close to the main street,and Ella Rock,Little Adams peak and the bridge.The family that runs this guesthouse is very helpfull and nice people.Amazing breakfast.This is very good value for money.I would stay there again

It gets hot in the room

The Poomaz Peace Palace is an amazing hotel with very kind & friendly host Poorna (with an excellent English level). The room was comfortable, location ideal if you want to go explore the erea & the breakfast was delicious. And on top of that, the view on the terrace for the breakfast on Ella Rock is breathtaking. Highly recommend!

Very nice host! The room was very clean and had everything you needed (even a refrigerator). Breakfrast also was very nice with local food, Toast and Jam and a fantastic view on Ella Rock! You can shower with hot water :-)

Location is just a couple of minutes from main road but still have amazing view of ella rock. Most attractions are within walking distance and Poorna was very helpful during the whole of the stay

It's a nice place ran by a sweet couple. Our host Poorna, was lovely. He was so friendly and very open to giving us any advice we needed. We didn't meet his wife but we did taste her lovely breakfast!

The accommodation is exceptionally beautiful, not only are the rooms very clean and well furnished, the terrace has the most beautiful view imaginable. My single room had a view of Ella Rock, it doesn't get any better than that. The breakfast was very rich and delicious, with a variety of sweet, sour and savoury treats. The owner and contact person was actually available around the clock and with marked friendliness and cordiality he gave information and support for all undertakings. I was touched by the wonderful fruit juice in the fridge I found after my climb up Ella Rock. It was better than in any 4-star hotel. The location of the house is also excellent: You can quickly get to the centre of Ella and at the same time the house is directly on the way to Ella Rock, 9 Arch Bridge and Little Adams Oeak. It couldn't be better. Big compliments to Mr Poomaz. So: hospitality, attentiveness and the price-performance ratio were exzellent.

Poorna is by far the standout of this hotel. He is so incredibly generous - offering us a free room upgrade with a better view, a decorated room for our honeymoon (accompanied with cake and welcome tea) and offering to help when I injured myself (driving a pair of crutches to a nearby restaurant) Breakfast was also delicious

Very pleasant host is always ready to help you. Breakfast on the terrace is perfect!

The hot water would periodically run out

The view was absolutely awesome and the owner is totally nice! We asked if they could do our laundry, and it wasnt a problem. They also gave us recommodations and helped us planning our trip.

Poorna is a very friendly man and his homestay is just so amazing. Poorna went out of the way to help me with many things. His place is clean, comfortable, brand new feeling. Just perfect. It is clear Poorna has invested a lot of energy in this to make this place running so wonderfully. He does this work with a lot of passion. The breakfast was pretty good and served equally well. the location is close to the center of the town. Overall highly highly recommended.

My friend and I had the pleasure of staying two nights at Poomaz Palace, Ella.. we wish we could’ve stayed for longer! Our host Poomah was there to welcome us with tea, and was always around to help us with any queries, suggestions and organising of things to do in and around Ella. Shoutout to our host’s friend, Jeewa, who was our guide for a sunrise Ella Rock hike (a must do for anyone staying in Ella!). We had an amazing breakfast included in the price, served on the beautiful balcony with views on Ella Rock in the distance, incredible! The accommodation is perfectly situated in the centre of Ella town, restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. The start of the pathways to Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arches Bridge are both a five minute tuk tuk ride away. Highly recommend this gem of a place!

Great place at great location. Probably the best host I ever met. Super kind and helpful already ahead of the stay. The breakfast is insanely good and I doubt any other place in Sri Lanka can beat this! Keep going like this, please!!

We can absolutely recommend to stay at PPP when visiting Ella! Poorna is a very friendly host who helped us out with many tips for hiking and eating and also arranged us a taxi to Mirissa (his father droved us, he is a good driver and we had good chats). The room was very clean and comfortable. Also the bathroom was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. Last but not least, the breakfast was amazing (Sri Lankan cuisine) and our wishes regarding a vegetarian/vegan meal were totally implemented!

We visited Ella for 4 nights and loved our stay at Poomaz. It is located in the heart of Ella and offers a spacious room with a great balcony view of Ella rock. Poorna was an amazing and helpful host and made the most delicious breakfast every morning!
