The view from the pool was nice. It was close to restaurants.

The pool was not clean. Some of the steps were steeper than normal - I'd hurt my knee and found these quite a challenge. The fixtures in the bathroom weren't mounted securely. I didn't want to use the bath as it didn't look like it was sitting correctly. Ella is a little bit too "backpacker ish" for us.

The view to Ella Rock is exceptional. The staff is also exceptional. They are very friendly and helpful in every way the can. The breakfast is very delicious and one definitely is full afterwards. We also tried the restaurant for dinner and it was very delicious as well. The facilitiy is about 5-10min away from the center of Ella which we liked very much because it is more quiet but still very close.

The facilities as well as the room could use some renovations. E.g. Our room had about 20 light switches but we didn’t find out the use for 15 of them 😅.

The staff were definitely the highlight of our stay. They were extremely friendly, accommodating and genuinely did the best they could despite the condition of the property. We especially appreciated how helpful they were with our luggage, considering there is no lift and several flights of stairs. Breakfast was also very good, with a generous spread and delicious food.

Unfortunately, the property itself was extremely disappointing and looked nothing like the photos advertised online. It felt very misleading. The hotel was still under construction during our stay, and there was no lift, meaning we had to climb three to four flights of stairs to reach our room. The rooms felt run-down, the bathroom locks did not work, and we experienced multiple power outages and water issues. The advertised “garden view” was also not what we expected based on the listing. The property felt particularly unsafe and unsuitable for young children, elderly guests or anyone with mobility difficulties. While the staff helped with luggage, it was upsetting to see them having to work under these conditions. Dinner was disappointing, although breakfast was very good.
