We had a great time at Hotel onrock, and I must say it exceeded my expectations, It was one of the best hotel experiences in our journey.
Rooms are beautiful, well cleaned, spacious & very comfortable. Staff is very friendly & helpful
Breakfast is Delicious, and we have to choose between srilankan and wester, both are very Delicious,
We definitely come back again to hotel onrock and can't wait to return and experience the infinity pool , Thank you for a memorable stay !

Fabulous location and the view was stunning. The bedroom was a good size with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was great and very generous. Staff were all very accommodating- wish we could have stayed another night!

The staff were nice and it was close to many things in Ella (though up a steep one lane road. Bed comfortable and water pressure was good.
Please note this hotel is not at all as described or appears in the pictures, it’s a very basic hotel that is still undergoing construction. The noise isolation is poor and you can hear people opening and closing doors throughout the day/night. The view is of a construction site, and we were really disappointed and shocked when we arrived for the price we paid vs. what the photos looked like.

Kavish and his team of staff were unbeatable! Nothing was too much hassle, he even checked if we’d want a pack lunch for our 6am departure time as we’d miss breakfast, the definition of fantastic hospitality, thank you!
If they had a pool we’d have stayed for longer!

The staff were great, particularly the manager, Kavish, who went out of his way to help us with tips and advice. Rooms were clean and had a great view of Ella Rock. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is on height.. Providing great views from balcony of Ella gap...good room size.. Good washroom.. with Hot water.. 2 min (steep) walk from ella main street..all main attractions are 5-10 min quick tuk tuk ride away...very professional staff.. Specially kavish.. On reception..
Nothing really... The uphill walk to hotel can be challenging after full day hiking/ activities.. But then the view is only bcoz of the height...

The view from our room was amazing!! The staff were fantastic, really nice and so helpful! We had the European breakfast and that was really good! It’s close to the station but if you have lot of luggage, be aware that it is located at the top of a very steep hill, but I guess that’s the price you pay for such a fantastic view!!
The room was basic, but I had paid for a basic room and that was reflected in the price. They did have newer rooms with a better specification and only cost a little bit more!

Great hotel centerally located on the top of Ella.
5 mins walk downhill to the main road.
Beautiful views, very friendly and accomodating staff.
Some of the rooms are newly refurbished and offer all amenities needed.
Breakfast was very tastsful. I would happily stay here again

We had a lovely balcony with an awesome view of Adams peak. The rooms face east so you can enjoy the sunrise from bed. The room had plenty of closet space with hangers! The room was super clean, there was a safety deposit box, a mini bar and bedside lamps plus a sitting area.
Kavisha, who works reception and serves breakfast is so lovely and great at his job, he will help you with anything you might need!! This place is awesome.
I had some overnight calls and they let me use the restaurant to set up a make shift office and kept checking on me that I was ok and if I needed anything.

new hotel with wonderful mountain views from the rooms. large, clean comfortable rooms. The manager was excellent and dealt with all our queries
they were awaiting installation of a card payment system, being a very new hotel. On the other hand they accepted GBP and USD as well as local rupees
