HOTEL TAVINOS Hamamatsucho

This hotel is amazing value. If you are budget conscious or this is your second + visit and you don’t need to be central, this is a great choice. While it’s a little out of the way, there’s easy access to multiple train lines.

Great location, just an 8 min walk to Hamamatsucho station and 2 min walk from Takeshiba station. Also, has a family mart on the ground floor of the building which runs 24/7, super convenient. Room was small but clean and comfortable, and we liked that there was luggage storage space under the beds. Bathroom was spacious with a nice shower. Views of the river was a plus!

Location is exceptional! Right above Family Mart & close to Sukiya for those needing meal in the middle of the night due to jet lag. Easy access to Haneda Airport. Quiet area with lots of train lines nearby. Lovely seaside views. Great value when booked 3+ months in advance. If you use the self check in you can select your own room. Shower has great water pressure and the toilet seat is heated. Front desk staff was very helpful and spoke English well.

Only 2 coin washers (¥400 for 30min wash) & 2 dryers (¥100/15min) for such a large hotel. Though the staff will assist in emptying, if other guest is not timely with removing their finished clothes. The hotel's luggage service via QR code only works with some hotels. We had to ship our luggage out from the Family Mart downstairs. Like most japanese hotels, you only get 1 pillow per person. If I had stayed more than one night, I would have asked the staff it was possible to get another pillow.

The room was clean and looked exactly like the photos. The bathroom was also quite spacious compared to the size of the room.

The room was extremely small and we could only open our luggage on the bed. The bed was not very comfortable, and the hotel was around a 10–15 minute walk from the train station. There was also not much to do in the surrounding area. The staff were not as friendly or welcoming as we experienced at other hotels in Japan. The main disappointment was the room size, as we expected it to be a little bigger from the photos.
