The Gilded Mountain Outpost was a perfect spot for the week prior to Sturgis. The wrap around deck was a great place to relax and watch all the bikes come through. The house was great very clean and very up to date amenities.

Just a bunch of Veterans enjoying a week of golf in the hills and Rapid City area. Perfect place to get away. Instructions for the stay is perfect.

We had some difficulty riding our motorcycles up the steep gravel driveway so had to park across the street but we were ok with that.
Also, due to what we were told was because of a change in the law, we couldn't use the fire pit.
Overall it's a very nice cabin and would recommend it to others. The issues we ran into were minor and didn't stop us from enjoying our time in the black hills.

Overall the house was great and perfect for our family! There were a few cleanliness issues that could have been better, under beds all still had stuff from previous guests, only one roll of paper towels (didn't occur to me to bring our own), windows could use a good clean and SO MUCH SNOW on all balconies and stairs. I do understand we had gotten a storm the days before, but with what you pay for cleaning fee that should have been done, we spent 2 hours shoveling show to be able to use the outside decks/hot tub. Other than a few of those issues it really was a great place to spend the weekend

It was a nice cabin and our family enjoyed our stay there. It was a little icy getting up to the cabin but the company sent a sander very quickly to help get the ice broke up. Appreciated the quick attention to this.

Location was excellent base for doing all the activities SD has to offer. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was great. House was well appointed, with everything we needed to be comfortable for 4 days. Would stay here again.

The cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing. I think our biggest complaint would be that the 5th bedroom had no A/C or an attached bathroom. We were lucky that all that stayed were family, but i cannot imagine renting that room out seperately to people that are not with the main cabin renters.

Beautiful views!
The house & location was absolutely beautiful!! I loved the openness of the main floor. I loved that the house had things that you wouldnt think to bring (especially for little kids/babies) They had toys for little kids & the yard games were a bonus!! I think my favorite thing was sitting on the swings watching the sun rise each morning!
My only issues were that it didnt seem to be cleaned very well. Which isnt a HUGE deal for me because we all miss things (I try not to be that person) When we arrived the garbages outside were plump full from previous renters. The hot tub had a icky orange ring around the water that we had to clean out and clear the water up. I ended up cleaning out the freezers ice machine because all the ice was dirty and yellow from previous leakage. The super steep parking, and loose gravel should also be noted, it was a struggle for all types of cars.
Again the house was beautiful and we loved it!! Just wasnt quite what we were expecting for the price that we had to pay.

The cabins are well maintained, clean with all the ammenities and a full kitchen. We were able to cook for 24 people with ease. The laundry was a convienience as was all the games, jacuzzi's and the firepit.
The cabins are secluded and peaceful. We enjoyed the clubhouse swimming pool and sauna as well as the poker tables upstairs.
The cabins are located not far from Deadwood,but far enough away to miss the traffic that fills a destination location.
I would highly recomend this to anyone that wants a stress free vacation with all the ammenities of home.

Love the place, great location - couple miles to Lead and a couple miles to the slopes. Very comfortable arrangement, hot tub off the deck, hot water in the showers, clean, etc. I'm guessing we'll be back!!

Property was in a great location, close to Deadwood and a reasonable taxi fee if you didn't want to drive to deadwood. Loved that there are three bathrooms, allowing each couple to have their own. Enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook a meal. The house was clean for the most part. Windows had had smudges all over them. The tv screen wasn't very clean. But overall, it was a great house! Had a little glitch with the payment processing and I was charged twice but they were able to resolve it.

I guess it was a mixup on my end but I have been staying at Guilded Mountain for years in various cabins and I thought every cabin had access to the clubhouse. The Outpost does not have access to the clubhouse so my children were very disappointed, as that is their highlight of our stay each year. Also there was a leg of the porch not held in place when you walk out the kitchen door and look over the ledge. The giant log is balancing on a rock, hinged between it and the cement foundation. Other than that it was a very beautiful cabin with the fire pit and wooden swings outside. Just wish we had access to the clubhouse.. so if you do reserve this cabin, keep that in mind.
