Questa affascinante ala della fattoria del XVI secolo del proprietario è completamente indipendente e si trova al piano terra. Il cottage conserva molte caratteristiche originali: alcuni soffitti bassi, travi a vista e pareti spesse per rinfrescarsi d'estate e calore d'inverno. Le graziose camere sono state elegantemente arredate per offrire un rifugio accogliente per 2 persone, ideali per una vacanza romantica. Situato in un allevamento di bovini e ovini nella tranquilla campagna con viste superbe e piacevoli passeggiate dalla porta, dista solo 1,5 km da Bowness e Windermere con i loro viaggi in vapore, boutique, gallerie, pub e ristoranti. Il golf club di Windermere si trova a 3,2 km di distanza e solo un breve tragitto in auto vi porterà ai meravigliosi Lakeland Fells. Negozio, pub e ristorante 1. 5 miglia.

Had a very peaceful time in the cottage. It was well supplied and attractively furnished. The owners had left a gift for our arrival and the heating on… Very cosy and comfortable. The heating system was easy to use and quick to respond. We visited the local towns of Bowness and Ambleside regularly, where we were able to buy food supplies, and do some other shopping.We had a few small recommendations for the owners, which we left behind. Overall, very nice and relaxing. 😊

Pros: Great location for exploring the Lake District. Cottage was quiet and mostly comfortable. Price was reasonable.
Cons: Poor communication by owners before arrival - didn't answer calls/respond to texts. Mattress very uncomfortable. Shower very unpredictable. Heating does not appear adequate (thankfully the weather was mild while we were there). Superficially clean in areas you can see - behind the bed was filthy!

This cottage is lovely . It is furnished to a very high standard. It was very clean and comfortable. It is quite small but perfect for two people . It is attached to the farmers house so if you want complete isolation , this is not for you. Having said that the family are very quiet and there is no intrusion . The only thing that could be improved ( minor point) is there could be a few more pots /pans / wok for cooking .
The location is amazing with hills and amazing views on your doorstep . It is not in walking distance of windermire as it is only 30 mins walk but on a road with no foot path , so would be difficult to walk back after dark .
I completely recommend this cottage and the owners are very helpful and friendly . I would come again .
