This is an excellent place to pick up while staying in Kyoto, but I wouldn't stay in the same area again. 1) Location: while traveling with Family location is key and even if this property is super well located (side by side to Kyoto station), due to Kyotos public transport infrastructure, my suggestion would be to pick a place closer to Yasaka Temple. 2) Rooms & equipment: rooms are extremely spacious for Japan's standards and that was a bless; they are well equipped with kitchenettes (no small oven though), comfy beds, BIG table/dining area, tidy and clean. 3) Staff and services: - There is a Laundry within the property and that worked fine. - It included a daily swap of towels and basic room cleanup (not standard in Japan). - Staff were 10/10!! 4) Overall, I felt like the price was a little higher than what the area could provide, yet again it was super well-located and spacious.

The price could probably be a little bit better.

Location is excellent, is just min away from Kyoto station. 7-11 is just beside the hotel. Is super convenient. Room is big for Japan room size. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We had enjoyed our stay.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and can speak good English. Hotel location is excellent and is next to Kyoto station with 2 to 3 mins walk. There is a convenient store nearby. Hotel room is clean and comfy and feel like staying at home. Laundry facilities are good too.

Convenient location near Kyoto Station, Bus to Kiyomizu-dera is right round the corner (make sure you catch time departure time). Well equipped rooms, wasn't lacking in any way. Close to a shopping mall with Don Quijote to get stuff. We had 7 people in 2 connecting rooms, could take another 3 if we used all the beds and 2 sofa beds. Make sure you exit on the correct side of Kyoto Station, else could be a long walk when the shops close and you are unable to cut across the malls in kyoto station to get to the other side.

Limited washer and dryer available, need to hang around to collect the clothes. Staff helped to take them out so the other guests can use the washers though. Think the dryers in higher demand.

We totally enjoyed our stay. Perfect location. Only a short walk across the street from Kyoto Station. Quiet and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and professional.

Close to the train station and large area to accomodate our family of 4. Apple TV was a life saver.

We booked the Pokemon room and our son LOVED it! What a cool idea. Like other Mimaru hotels, this one had wonderfully helpful staff, and spacious (for Japan) rooms. Location right next to the station was great for heading out to the main sights.

Room is a bit small for 4 adults, no space to open all 4 suitcases. Storage space also not enough. Kitchen pot and pan is over used, should check the quality after each check out.

Great location, right next to the station but with none of the noise. Kyoto isn’t great for public transport so being so close to the main hub was key. Mac and Yuko were particularly helpful to us. They sorted out taxis, they made recommendations to us on where to go as we only had 1.5 days in Kyoto. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent too. This is our 2nd Mimaru stay having spent 4 nights in a Mimaru in Tokyo. The room layout, the space, the washing facilities, the cleanliness have been excellent. Our kids are 16yo and 13yo so to stay in one room together and say all that shows how great Mimaru’s are.

We hoped the goodie bag had more souvenirs. For example a picture of the hotel and the room would be nice, like a postcard.

I loved how close this hotel was to the Kyoto Station. The staff was super friendly and it was so easy to check-in and check-out. It was my first time staying at an apartment-style hotel in Japan and I would definitely book this place again.

I wished that the TV had options to log into YouTube or Netflix. It only had local cable, so we did not use it since we do not speak Japanese.

Nice and close to the Shinkansen side of the train station and close to several malls/7 eleven around the corner. Rooms were super spacious and great bunk set up for kids. Loved having the dining table and fridge/freezer - could store some ice creams for the end of the day etc. Check out the bakery Sizuya for an easy breakfast on the go and the sushi conveyor belt restaurant (Musashi) - both on the hotel side of the train station.

Fabulous spacious rooms / apartments - 5 mins from Kyoto station. Went for the Garden family room which gave us some extra space to relax on outside. The rooftop sitting area was great at sunset watching the bullet trains roll in and out. Staff were very helpful and friendly

We booked the apartment 11/f for 4 adults & 4 boys … perfect size and layout. The staff were extremely helpful (first time travellers to Kyoto so needed some hand-holding) and went the extra step for us.

It was great to be able to walk to the hotel from the station (300m) but the location is a out the way with not too many options for family dining (we used the apartment to its fullest and had a few smorgasbords!)
