Our stay was just perfect for my 2 sisters and I who were visiting for a family reunion. The only snag was we arrived after dark and the cleaning lady put the deadbolt on the front door so we couldn’t get in. Katrina was very prompt in replying and letting us know how to get into the place. Once we were in, we loved it. The place was clean and comfortable and the location is perfect. I would definitely recommend one of Katrina’s places. She was a wonderful host!

We have spent 5 days here in October 2023 and had wonderful time. The weather in San Diego was pleasant and the city is very nice with lots to see. And this little apartment is just in the right location if you want to go to the beach, take a walk on the pier or have a drink or a dinner on the Newport avenue. All just few steps away. The place is cozy, clean and well-equipped with everything needed for a short stay. The host was very responsive, helpful and patient. Thank you Katrina! Overall, we were very happy we could spend those few days there, relax and have a great time.

It is super loud from flight traffic, to the point you can’t hear each other or tv. But just from early morning once a minute til early afternoon. Then it slows down. Otherwise peaceful. Even then, not like we had all that much to say. Lol. On the beach the airline traffic was as often but not as noticeable. So just go for a walk. Good location. Responsive owner.

I really liked this place. It was pretty, very close to everything I wanted to see and do (beach is a block and a half away, stores and restaurants all short walks), it had parking, and it felt cozy and secure. My only tiny issues were that the instructions for the home are extremely detailed, which felt a little stressful, and the fee for a dog was more than I wanted to pay. There was a mandatory insurance fee, which I paid, and on top of that a significant fee, which I missed when booking because I assumed the insurance covered my responsibility (it popped up so you could not ignore it). By the time I was done I had paid more than I wanted to orginally pay for three week nights. In retrospect, it's not too far above market price for the home. It was walking distance to everything, it was very cute, and it was very clean. The AC does not reach well into the bedroom, I had to put it on very low at night to be cool enough. Having said that, I think the fee for weeknights is not reflective of what you will need to pay overall, so just keep that in mind. I would stay here again despite the issues that I mentioned.

Close to the beach; like 5-6 min walk! Katrina was so nice, and the property was safe, quiet and relaxing! We had a great time and would rent again! If you’re not sure where to stay…stay here!

This property is in a perfect spot, just a short walk to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants. Never had to move the car. It was also nice having a garage since street parking can be impossible. There is an outdoor shower which was very convenient. We had great time!

From excitedly booking, an easy check-in, to sadly leaving on my last vacation day, I cannot express enough how gratifying and lovely staying at 5084 Brighton made my trip. The home is sparkling clean, comfortable, and convenient to all Ocean Beach activities. One block to beach, a couple blocks to food, shopping, activities. Katrina provides everything needed for a great get-away. I parked a Toyota FJ-Cruiser in the garage- no issues. I will definitely return to enjoy again! Highly recommend : )

We stayed the weekend at this charming cottage. It has everything you need for a great vacation in Ocean Beach: comfortable bed and living space as well as a full kitchen. The beach is a quick 2 minute walk and beach towels are available at the cottage. We walked to downtown OB for meals. While the unit comes with a garage parking spot, you might not even need a car if you don't mind walking and taking Uber/Lyft. We will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely love this property. The cottage was decorated so cute and colorful. We walked to the beach and two restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely come back to this VRBO if you’re looking for a Beach vacation do not hesitate to rent this property.

Cutest place on the block! Very colorful (outside and inside) with nice gardens and an outdoor shower to get the sand off. The bed is very comfortable, and the shower has great water pressure. A bonus is having a garage as parking on the street is difficult.

The location was so perfect! Very detailed instructions were provided and made it easy to navigate the ally and garage access. The home is super quaint with attention to detail. We really did have everything we needed there, including beach chairs! The outdoor hose and shower were a great addition as we spent a good amount of time walking the beach and were able to remove the sand just before walking in the door. The house is small - but fit us perfectly! We love that area and very much enjoyed our cottage by the beach!

I rented this cute little cottage for my daughter to stay while she was in San Diego for the Thanksgiving holiday. She had heard fond stories from me about growing up in Ocean Beach and wanted to connect with all the stories. Although it has changed in the last several decades, like all places do, she found it just as charming as I had described! This cottage is located one block from the beach and is within walking distance to all the cute little shops and restaurants. The cottage is a very petite one bedroom but full of charm! It's perfect for one person or a couple and has everything you need. I stopped by a couple of times to show her some of my favorite spots. Only complaint I had is that the wire attached to the gate latch is extremely sharp and poked myself every time I opened the gate. Ouch! Might want to replace that.

The unit was nice and well equipped. It was located within walking distance to the beach as well as shopping and restaurants. touchless check in and check out made the stay simple. The AC unit was a HUGE plus, hard to find in the area.

This house lives up to its title of Xanadu! There is a great ambiance from the time you walk through the gate, and make your way to the door. The details matter in a house with character. It’s close proximity to the beach, and downtown Ocean Beach are both huge points for this house. Highly recommended to all for a great house in Ocean Beach!

Super clean and organized. The airport noise was not an issue inside, at all. Thank goodness for the air conditioning. We used the wagon, cooler and beach chairs every day and walked the two short blocks to the beach.

We had a very nice stay at this very clean, cozy, cheerful and conveniently-located property. The owner clearly takes pride in her property! The cottage was very well stocked and loved the succulents, etc. in the walkway. We had a very short? It was an easy walk to the beach and excellent restaurants. This is a very pet-friendly area. Only downside, which is no reflection on this property, is the large homeless population on and near the beach which can be disconcerting in the evening. We were never approached by anyone or personally fearful.

Loved almost everything about this place but…
Great place and great location. Brighton Ave beach is my favorite spot, not too far from dog beach too. However, dealing with the owner is not so great. We arrived 30-45 mins early after driving 5+ hours. We were met with the owner furious at us for being early making remarks about us “lurking around” the property. She yelled and made rude comments to my husband for 15 mins just because we were early. Highly unprofessional. Then you have the “Notes/Rules” plastered every foot in the living space and outside. It’s like a constant nagging. Clearly she has some control issues. We will not be staying here again. I don’t need that kind of negativity. I just wanted to sit by the beach, drink in hand and relax.

We had an amazing time!! The cottage was perfect! Super clean and comfortable! It has everything you need, including boogie boards, beach chairs, and wagons. The location is ideal! Everything is close by. And being able to walk to the beach and not worry about finding a parking spot, was SO great! Check in was simple. All in all a GREAT rental! There was nothing that I was disappointed with. We will definitely be back :) Thank you so much
