This is an amazingly beautiful place. You can see the ocean from the bedroom, and when the weather is clear Maui too. There are so many stars on clear nights, and we saw several rainbows. The whole property is basically a tropical garden, with little paths through the woods and citrus and avocado trees, which guests are welcome to enjoy as much as they want. Words and photos can't describe how beautiful and replenishing this location is.The hosts are lovely and welcoming - truly good people. We had several challenges not related to the accommodations while we were there, and they were interested and kind and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. Needing to step outside, onto a covered lanai, for three seconds to get from one room to another is no problem at all. The bedroom is very quiet. The kitchen/living area is more open to the world when the converted garage door is open -- it's basically a massive lanai that can be closed when wanted. One thing to know: stay here only if you like living beings of many species. There are lots of birds, and lots of birdsong. Butterflies and other insects of various kinds. A few geckos. You'll want to protect your food against mice. There are three mellow dogs. Horses and sheep and goats on neighboring properties. And so many plants. Also, there is no microwave, but there are many other ways to cook and heat food, so we found that fine.If you enjoy abundant nature, you will love this place.

The host was very welcoming and helpful. The house and property were very clean and well kept. It was amazing!!!

Spectacular property with great owners. Everything was as expected. We will definitely return.

The location is spectacular, but the view from the renter's quarters didn't have that view. From the window there was a water view. The sunsets weren't visible unless you walked through the grass & stood or brought a chair & sat in the middle of the lawn. I expected to watch the sunset from the comfort of an area inside or near the room - perhaps with a glass of wine. The large bedroom/LR was musty-smelling & the couch fabric was worn-out/frayed in several places. It definitely is in need of some updating. But the most disappointing of all was being shown the kitchen & dining/sitting area which is in the garage!!! They specially write about the kitchen in the description. Not my idea of a kitchen. I ate in the bedroom, as I found it positively skivvy to eat at a table with a placemat, in a garage with a washer/dryer, storage areas & a total lack of ambiance. They're a very nice couple, but that does not diminish my disappointment in this rental.
