L'ex casa di uno scrittore ed educatore, questo 1920 di bungalow è stato completamente ristrutturato per offrire un soggiorno molto confortevole in spiaggia più bella d'America. A pochi passi dal lungomare e dalla spiaggia (tre case del lungomare) e vicino a Belmont Park e le montagne russe, la casa è dotata di tutto il necessario per la vacanza perfetta. Boogie board, kayak, sedie a sdraio, giocattoli sabbia, garage e una doccia esterna supplementare.
La camera da letto principale ha un letto matrimoniale e TV a schermo piatto. La seconda camera ha letti a castello con un singolo e doppio. Il futon confortevole nel soggiorno rende in un letto, dove c'è un altro televisore a schermo piatto e lettore musicale iPod / CD. Abbiamo anche un pacchetto n play per il vostro bambino.
I ripiani sono rivestiti con oltre 300 libri di qualità di tutte le varietà. Tengo i prezzi molto convenienti rispetto a qualsiasi altro supporto casa da solo in Mission Beach, in modo che i libri molto bene. Molte persone piace molto questo cottage in stile storico si sentono piuttosto che condomini "tutto-il-stessi" che la linea gran parte della spiaggia, e per una buona ragione. I pavimenti in legno massello e olandese porta nella parte anteriore offrono un passo nostalgico indietro nel tempo, mentre godendo gli aggiornamenti al cottage nel corso degli anni.
Quando i nostri figli sono cresciuti ci stiamo muovendo nel !! Così godersi il Cottage Mission Beach, mentre è possibile. :)
Di fama mondiale Sea World è a cinque minuti di distanza e lo zoo di San Diego è di dieci minuti. Pranzo di classe mondiale può essere goduto in Gaslamp Quarter di centro, a dieci minuti di auto. Mission Beach offre tramonti notturne, mountain bike, vela, pattinaggio, surf, canottaggio, montagne russe e più divertente osservare la gente del paese.

The location is excellent, the bungalow is not restored… the heat and fireplace insert are not functional and or clean therefore the interior, including all the books, is moist and moldy. The ceiling has a lot of moisture damage. We do not have high expectations, this house did not meet ours… we will be staying nearby in the future.

We chose to stay here because of its location, it’s SO close to the beach. Vintage beach cottage full of character. Needs a deep cleaning. Very quiet, peaceful-we enjoyed San Diego. Thank you!

Enjoyed the stay and the house great reading selections the beach chair came in handy tv took a minute to get just watched a couple movies on Roku but I mostly read when I was in a nice comfortable recliner would be an outstanding ad thank you

My family and I are from Minnesota and stayed here for the weekend cause we had a wedding to go to. We loved it, very very close to the beach and all the attractions around. Kids thought it was great with the bunk beds. Nice and clean. A spot to park your car/rental in the garage. We would/will definitely stay again!!

The location of this cottage was perfect - walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The owner was friendly and responded quickly. Dave accommodated a late check out so we could enjoy nice weather before heading home. The home was clean and had great décor of artifacts and books and provided all the necessary household goods. The kitchen was stocked well, but the cooking items were very old. The beds were okay, mattress could be replaced/updated. This cottage and location was a great value for the price.

We had a great time in this lovely home. We walked everywhere. It was especially hot the week we were there but the fans in the home helped tremendously. I recommend staying here.

The cottage was perfect for me and my family. We truly enjoyed our stay. The location was awesome! I loved the fact that we were only a few steps away from the beach. My kids were able to enjoy the beach all day on Saturday. Weather was perfect.
David was a great host. Whenever I had a question, his response time was amazing.

Property definitely has that rustic family cabin beach vibe. Amazing location and solid value but the property is showing it’s age. Also a car bigger than a Camry or similar midsize sedan is a challenge to get in the garage.

We’d been able to stay at The Blue House a few times now. It is my family’s favorite place to vacation. Such a cute cottage and the location is perfect. We hope to be able to vacation there for a long time. David is wonderful to work with. See ya next year!

We enjoyed ourselves so very much at this property.! I Every waking moment that we weren’t busy elsewhere we walked a few steps to the boardwalk and the sand. I grew up on this beach and I felt so at home at this Beach Cottage. There’s a lot of new stuff around, but I wanted the old, worn in beach feel.! David and Felice had everything we needed and it was an easy check in, and at 1am that’s what we needed. We woke up and went to sleep with the sound of the ocean; which I’m gonna miss. We were so close to everything and my husband especially really appreciated that. He’s from a small town in Montana and really loved the place and the location that I picked for us. We will be back to rent again..TY David and Felice…you have a little gem

Location is perfect, beach is close by as well as Belmont Park for the kids. House is old, it is in need of quite a few repairs. Definitely needs a good deep cleaning. The garage leaks really bad when it rains. We weren't expecting a fancy place and it wasn't, but if your just looking for a place to sleep this will do.

If your all about location location location, then this is the place for you! Cute little cottage in great location!! You are so close to the beach which is great when taking sand toys and things to the beach. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. My family loved our stay.....would definitely recommend. Great location for great price!!

The beach is a minute or less walk, the store is just a few miles, bike and board rentals are walking distance. Good food and shopping nearby! Quick drive to little Italy.

This property is in a prime location and suited our family well. We had everything we needed and wanted! We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Pros: Closer to the beach than even pictured. We would sit on the porch and enjoy the sound of the waves while our little one slept. We asked for a boogie board and the owner delivered within the hour. A real surf shack experience in a historic home.
Cons: Said historic home has questionable electricity. The surfaces of the home are clean, but the curtains are stained and dirty, it is very dusty and the bed linens are thread bare. The bed is also very uncomfortable.

I was so excited to experience the goodness Fun Diego has to offer, I recommend and will stay again, but request a later check out time.

Super cute and Quaint little beach cottage! Very roomy..this was our 2nd year renting this property and the host was great about getting things fixed and changed from suggestion we made from last time!..great communication while we were there..looking forward to coming back again next year 😀

This place terribly dirty. The lights, windows, walls were so dirty they were brown. The books were covered in dust. Cobwebs were everywhere. The bathroom mirror is broken. The futon is broken. One of the boogie boards is unusable and not safe. The toys were broken. The outside shower does not work. The garage is not secure. The washer was in the garage and the dryer was in the house. There no laundry baskets. Only minimal towels were provided. We had to wash them. The extra comforter was covered in on old food (caked on it). There ants in the cabinets. And mold in in condiments in the fridge. Cords ganging pulling tight everywhere. We afraid they would start a fire. According to the neighbors, they were surprised the house was still standing. My daughter was afraid of the shower. We looked at trying to stay somewhere else, but we were out of $. The cleaning person was knocking on the door before 10:00 am on the day we left, so we were rushed out. Definitely not worth it.

This property could be a gem. It was dirty and in poor condition. Broken futon. There are electrical concerns. At one point the bedroom was filled with sparks from the broken socket. The sparks put a hole in my blouse and a burn on my arm. The electricity went out. We and vrbo made multiple attempts to contact the manager. He finally contacted me late in evening after we left to go to another hotel. The manager stated he would only give my money back if I didn't leave a negative review. I have multiple pictures and the communications demands from manager has been given to VRBO. I'm sure the manager will deny this review. Please keep you kids safe and stay away from this property. Not worth the great location.

We loved David's house are are so grateful he rents it out! It's a little slice of what Mission Beach used to be like and we loved it. The location is amazing and the home has everything you'd need for a great stay. Thank you! We'll definitely be back.

We have stayed in San Diego Mission Beach area twice a year for many years! The location of this home off the boardwalk, off the strand way and off the main drag is absolutely perfect. Comfortable little house with everything we needed. Our full-size Ford bronco fit inside the garage. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location surf every day and close to my friends house. Some of the fans didn't work the manager fixed. The house is rustic with lots of antiques.

This IS the spot!
Walk outside and drink coffee with the sound and smell of the waves! The ocean is a clear view from the front porch! This place is incredibly charming, conveniently located, and respectfully priced - even during the summer months. We had more than enough room to live comfortably during our stay with 2 adults and 2 children and took full advantage of it all. After a LONG pandemic, this place was a sanctuary for our family to re-immerse ourself’s back into full vacation beach vibe, and the memories we made from our stay here will last a lifetime for generations. We will certainly seek to book here again, and hopefully sooner, rather than later.

Can't beat the location
The house is older and charming. The location is perfect. It's just a few minutes walk to Belmont Park but it was quiet as well. It's great to have parking on-site but it is tight. I'm glad we didn't have a larger vehicle. The house could use a few upgrades and some new beach chairs but overall we loved our time in San Diego.

Enjoyed our stay at this home right by the beach. The location was excellent and there were no surprises with the listing. It could use a good deep clean, but overall the home was in decent condition for a house so close to the ocean.
