Oikia Guesthouse Meteora

The hotel rooml itself is very comfy, including two seperate rooms, a big bathroom, and a small balcony. It was very comfortable and nice. The room even has a coffee maker. We also loved the BIG balcony of the building which has a splendid view of the Meteora massive rocks/mountains (I am unsure what the correct term for them is in English). We ate our meals there, the kids danced and played there. We loved it! Also, Maria of the studd was very welcoming and helpful. Some members of our family has some specific dietery needs, so we need to prepare our food, and she happily gave us eveything we needed for it (even a toaster to make toast for the kids). Ahe was gracious, very welcoming and kind

Meteora is a VERY touristic place, and this shows everywhere... After visiting Olympus and Zagoria, this was irritating. Though is is not the hotel's fault, it is located in the touristic region, and walking in the town was a bit annoying. Also, due to that, the supermarkets were a long walking distance, so I suggest going by car. The hotel was fantastic, the surrounding streets less so. (Just too heavily touristic, they are fine otherwise). We were there for a very brief period, and it didn't bother us much.

Excellent location, wonderful hospitality, and a delicious and generous breakfast. The owners are absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. We had a fantastic stay and would happily come back!
