Clean older home . I have stayed on the gulf and bay side before definitely like the the calm and quiet of the bay and watching the locals fish . Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet non party house get away

We had a fantastic time on our first trip to Dauphin Island. This property is very nice and has rhetoric you need. Very spacious and the large back deck overlooking the bay with its own fishing dock/pier is a HUGE bonus. It's very quiet and peaceful here. Not the place for people who love all the hubbub of places like Destin or Gulf Shores. But it's lovely, plenty of places to eat and this house is perfectly located and was exceptionally clean. Never needed to contact the management/owners either. We will definitely be back! Thanks!

House is on Bay side, but just a short walk across street to gulf beach and beautiful sunsets. Very quite neighborhood.

This is a lovely home in a lovely setting. It had everything we needed in the house, including a well-equipped kitchen. The view of the sound was beautiful, and there was easy access to the beach on the other side of the island. The twin room might be a bit tight for two adults staying for a week, but otherwise the house felt spacious.

Beautiful beaches and great restaurants

There were no window coverings on major windows and it was so dark outside. Very limited outdoor lighting. We were very uncomfortable with our visibility to anyone outside the house. The island seemed largely deserted as well. The living area furnishings were a bit shabby and quite stained. The slip covers need replacing. It was cold and our instructions said not to let the thermostat get above 62 degrees so we were quite uncomfortable with the temperature as well. We feel that the rental was not as advertised. We left the morning after we arrived due to serious discomfort with the safety and comfort of the place. We will not rent from you again and feel you owe us compensation for the balance of our rental that we missed.

Wonderful home in a perfect location on a gorgeous island. So clean and well stocked with cooking items. Comfortable furnishings. We will definitely stay again.

The property is situated perfectly on the island. The kids loved the instant access to the water. We could sit and enjoy coffee on the porch and watch them play in the sand without ever leaving the house. Would certainly stay against

IIt was the best of both worlds, bay and beach. Quiet, beautiful. On;y thing that could make it better - reclining seats on the deck for afternoon naps and curtains of the back windows and maybe a paddle board. But it really was one of the best weeks ever.

Great view of the MS Sound on the bay side and a 2 min walk to the gulf side - best of both worlds! We arrived jiust after a couple days rain. Several of the streets to West end were flooded and Sadly due to non maintenance of drainage the water stood across entire roads including one on street running in front of house. One car in center of street crawling at snails pace to prevent flooding to get in /out daily. Seemed only on west part of island. Hot sunny days never lessened the standing water and we crawled through in our smaller SUV each time we left house to go anywhere. Ugh! Any additional rain n think we could have had a stranded situation. VRBO and owner (long distant?) take note!! Lots of area construction may be blocking your street's drainage? Street in front of this property was deepest. Otherwise nice and clean property w all needed items. Really enjoyed the sunsets here!

This was the perfect beach house! The house is stocked with all the stuff you'll need for a family, including plastic dishes for the kids and wine glasses for the adults. We loved the beach access and the outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand. The kids loved checking out the seashell decor and the rooms were comfortable and cool.

Would love to stay again!

The home, two owners back, belonged to decorators and owners of an antique store. The house reflects that: it’s interior is very artful. The current owners need to spend time there and work on fixing some accumulating minor problems. The kitchen faucet with it’s extending hose is on its last leg. The range shows a continuous error signal and will at times beep. The fitted sheets for the master bed don’t fit and therefore are off the corners the minute you lie down. One of the two bathrooms was missing a toilet seat and we asked Vacasa to repair —which they did the day after arrival and were very efficient and cordial. The electrical outlets and fuse boxes on the wharf are very dangerous and I assume the power is turned off. The porch ceiling fan on the water side doesn’t work and makes sitting there very hot and uncomfortable unless there is a north wind which is not the prevailing direction. The house pretty badly needs an exterior paint job and replacement of galvanized partial window covers on the south side. I have given this rental a four rating but it deserves a 4.5 to 4.7 because it is comfortable, attractive and has a great view. It needs the investment of TLC by the current owners. We would gladly stay there again with minor maintenance issues resolved.

Awesome medium sized home. Furnished well! Great pier to enjoy sunsets on and visit with friends and family.

Beautiful property, clean and nicely decorated with a light, beach feel. Easily felt at home. Back deck in bay is perfect for kids; great “beach” but calmer and more accessible for little kids. We loved this house and had zero complaints! Beach is walkable from home.

This home was very nice. It was close to the water. The view would have been gorgeous had it not been overcast and rainy the entire stay. However, if you are looking for an area with a lot of tourist attractions, this area may not be your cup of tea. The tourist attractions are limited and not highly exciting. That being said, if you are just looking to unwind in a quite area, this spot is perfect. We did get to rest and relax but did almost nothing else out and about. Overall, the house was nice. But they could stand to update some of the living room furniture and pillows. By the way, if you arrive at night and can't find the lockbox as we did, check on the decking at the front door Again, this place is nice for a low octane stay but not a good choice if you are seeking tourist type attractions for the kids.

Location was great. Communication with the property managers was also great. The house was well stocked and prepared for our visit.

This rental was everything we hoped for. For once everything you see on the sites pictures is what you get and more! Even ended up getting a beach day in December! Perfect for families! My kids fell in love the moment they saw out the back porch ❤️
