We loved Jerome the manager. He gave us VIP service taking care of all our needs. Always with a smile, excellent English.

Everything was fine. The airconditioner blew cold air on our faces so we change directions, and our face where usually we put our feet, and no more blowing on ur faces anymore.

Outstanding hospitality, Jerome and his team are professional, helpful, kind and most welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel has a beautiful beach that is to be used only by the hotel guests and cleaned twice a day. Kayaks are available to explore the bay. Both the pool at the beach and the ones (incl jacuzzi) at the Villa have beautiful views. A small complimentary breakfast was provided free of charge with delicious smoothie options each morning and we also enjoyed the dinner that was delivered at our terrace every evening. Overall the whole hotel has a nice & peaceful vibe. We had an amazing time, thanks to the whole staff for making our stay memorable.

The bed we found to be too firm but Jerome has provided us with some mattress toppers to make it better. We also would have been happy with some mosquito nets installed to be able to leave the windows open for the night as an alternative to running the aircon. And indeed, as others also mentioned, some construction work is going on at the beachfront (they are building a beach side restaurant and adding some more family rooms) but it was not too disturbing especially if you are out exploring the island during the day, the pool can still be used all day. Construction of the restaurant is expected to be finalised by April 2023.

•There were some construction going on around the beach pool and villa. But we had a chance to use Villa pools which made our stay excellent! Even had a jacuzzi. Kid absolutely loved the pools. •Room quite small. •Bed was a little too hard. •Air-conditioner just beside bed. Even with 27degrees was too cold. Got a sore throat after first night. Later used a ventilation mode, but it was a little too hot in the morning because of the sun. •Would love to have some cotton buds and pads etc. Otherwise totally recommend staying at this amazing beautiful place.

I like the location (close to Makro and Lamai Beach), the swimming pool, the view in front of my room, the beautiful garden, the large kitchen. and the staff. Every thing is perfect!

Everything was perfect! Very nice room and balcony, super clean, sea view, nice swimming pool and everything you need to relax and enjoy. Jerome is extremely kind and available to help you with anything you may need. Recommended 100%.

Motel manager was very helpful, informative and frank. Staffs were quite polite and usually carried smile. The electricity plugs were changed for international travelers, and we didn't need to use our adapters, thumbs up.

Shower could be stronger, but overall water pressure was ok.

I really enjoyed the customer service and the hospitality from Jerome, very friendly guy and helped me with everything throughout this business trip, Thank you Jerome.

We stayed at The Rock for 2 nights. What a great welcome! Jerome was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us in any need. The place is beautiful but currently under construction at the beach front.

It is about 10-15 minutes walk to the center of Lamai and Grab was never available. So you are better off with a scooter.

The staff, especially Jerome, was very helpful and friendly. He greeted us each morning with a wonderful smile, and yummy breakfast.

The staff is very friendly, especially Jerome takes care of the hotel and guests as it would be his hotel. Really exceptional! The hotel is clean and takes care a lot. swimming pool is next to the sea and the beach gets cleaned every morning. Little Extra: There is a kitchen where guests can prepare some food.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in, in Thailand, has a great pool and jacuzzi area as well. Just down from the room is an amazing little beach which we had all to ourselves. You can swim in the sea or use the kayaks that are there for guests. The hotel staff were super friendly, giving you advice on how to get about the island, what to go and see, and even helped us book our taxi when we were leaving. You get offered a complimentary breakfast every day, which was freshly made to order. We had the pancakes and the waffles with a fresh fruit smoothie each time. It was really nice!! Would highly recommend anyone going to Koh Samui to stay at the Rock Samui, I know we will, when we come back again on our next trip!! 10/10

- All is new and not run down - Staff is amazing friendly and helpful - It’s really like a 5 Star Hotel - Cool view from terrace in front of room - Close to local night market (not on google maps), but they told me about it - Comfy beds and blankets - I could go on forever. Do yourself a favor and go there!

Jerome is the best. Thank you for your attentiveness and hospitality to the details. 4 nites and 2 nites to a better seaview room. I enjoyed my stay through out. Will l come back..yes The YimSiam health massage parlour across the Rock are fabulous.

Becos of the renovation going on as explained by Jerome, will be better off next year due to covid situation l can understand.

The hotel is very nice though it underwent some renovation works. it has a small beach which is separated from other beaches by natural rocks, so it is secluded and quiet. The pools are awesome and the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was cosy, nothing fancy but it had everything you need.

staff were beyond helpful, couldn’t thank enough! lovely sea view. nice pool on beach. canoes available for no extra charge, very fun washing machine and shared kitchen if wanting to cook your own meals.

It's a quiet, small boutique hotel. Wonderful host, clean, beautiful family room (bedroom and sitting room, kitchen annexe), nice pools (as there are 2), and the possibility to use the hotel's kayaks and paddle boards. Delicious breakfast. Super close to the beach, restaurants and Grandfather's / Grandmother's rocks. Excellent communication (email). I highly recommend the hotel; I wouldn't change anything and, in retrospect, wish we had stayed longer!

This has been one of the best experiences on a holiday -ever. The staff are super friendly and helpful (shoutout to Jerome!), they’re just amazing. The location is great, both the villa and beachfront pools are amazing. The rooms were super super clean, I’d dare eating of the floor. They even did UV cleaning before arrival, first time I’ve seen that. Everything was just right, the rooms, the staff (Jerome <3) , the pools, breakfast. For those worried about rain, we went in mid July and we had half a rainy day in the whole week.

In other reviews you might see they’re renovating the beach front. We were initially a bit scared this would impact our stay but honestly you can’t even see it/notice it. All of the beach and pools are easily accessible and we took amazing pictures in the infinity pool. Only downside I can think of is that the the beach itself is a bit rocky during low tide , best to swim at Lamai Beach anyway, it’s bigger and nicer. We had a scooter and it takes 3 minutes to get there, or 15 by foot.

the service desk is the best! Also free amazing delicious coffee in the morning.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful! The room was clean and comfortable. Also, I got to use another room as working space because of better internet. The coffee and breakfast was good, too.

Samui wasn't our favourite overall but The Rock was a great place to stay!

I needed a break from the hostel life and I couldn’t have picked a better place in Samui. I had the beach and pool to myself almost every day. The room was lovely. Convenient location. And Jerome went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed, from finding a scooter for me when a lot of shops were sold out (holiday weekend) to helping me book my ferry to arranging my laundry. He’s amazing, and so is this hotel!

Great seaview from the room, and private beach with free access to kayaks. Amazing staff, always available for help.
