Artist's Loft & Garden

Lovely two-floor apartment, highly recommended,comfortable, well equipped, nice furniture and decor, clean, nice concealed private garden at the rear which is pleasant to sit in, good quiet location close to the tram and river, shops and plenty of cafes/restaurants/bars within 5 minutes walk. Good place from which to explore Ghent and Northern Belgium, particularly by train/public transport. Helpful guide to the area provided in the apartment.

No drawbacks for me, the stairs linking the two floors are shared with the apartment on the upper floors which may put some people off but it wasn’t a problem, some of the light switches didn’t work but the lamps provided adequate lighting. I travelled by public transport and the location was great for that, maybe not as good for cars - cars and parking is restricted in the centre.

The location was perfect for us…just a 5 minute walk from all action in historic city centre. There was so much to see and do in Ghent. Eric was an amazing host with lots of great suggestions of where to eat and quick to respond to our questions. The accommodations were very comfortable, spacious, clean, and quiet. The private little courtyard out back was a perfect spot to wind down after a busy day with a glass of wine.

Clean, comfortable bed, clear instructions for check in, appreciated having the coffee maker and plates, the decor has character. Good location in the city too.

It was sweltering hot and there wasn’t even a fan in the attic. I thought there was television but there’s just a tv to play dvds. I didn’t like that the bedroom has no door and there’s another person living in the downstairs. I didn’t feel as safe and secure as I would have otherwise.
