I loved every aspect of Mountain Home B&B! The owners were lovely, the room was excellent, and the food for breakfast was wonderful! It was clean, homey, and so cute!!! Definitely recommend for anyone going to skyline drive!

We were warmly greeted and helped with our luggage. The restored structure is beautiful and enhanced by outdoor garden space. The common rooms are lovely with many antique furnishings and period decor. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hosts, Lisa and Scott, served up a delicious breakfast with homemade foods and attention to each person’s preferences and needs. We had a lovely stay!

Location.
The hosts were friendly.
Breakfast
The bed and breakfast is in need of some TLC. The house has a lot of character, but it feels quite dated and would benefit from being redecorated, painted and generally updated.
Unfortunately, the bed was a particular issue for us. It was extremely high and required a stool to get on and off, which wasn’t very practical. The mattress was also uncomfortable, and the bed made a loud cracking noise whenever we turned over, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
The Wi-Fi was very poor during our stay, and we were unable to get a mobile phone signal at all, which made communication quite difficult.
Overall, we felt the property would benefit from some investment and updating to make it more comfortable and suitable for guests.
