Residencial Uruguay

I chose this accommodation because I was arriving by bus in the evening and this was nice and close to the station. It was an excellent choice. La Paz is not a city you want to be dragging bags around. I think it took me 2 or 3 minutes to walk to it - very convenient. The woman on the front desk was so nice. Her English was excellent. The other staff I encountered were still very nice, but my lack of Spanish made things more difficult. This accommodation is a bit of a labyrinth. My room was up several sets of stairs, through an open area, around a few corners and up another set of stairs. I found that kind of charming, but it might be a problem for some. The room itself was nice and big, with a desk and a chest of drawers - something I don't usually encounter in budget accommodation. The view was out towards the bus station, but I could also see the cable cars which was cool. The red line cable car was about a fifteen minute walk away. San Francisco cathedral, the witches market etc was about a fifteen minute downhill walk away. Instead of walking back up the hill to get back, I took the yellow line which joined up with the silver line, which joined up with the red line. A much longer journey to get back, but so much fun, and I didn't have to walk up the hill. Breakfast started quite late - 8am, I think, so I only had it on the first morning. It was an egg, bread and tea. Better than no breakfast, but nothing special. This was a really good option for a short stay in La Paz.

My bathroom smelled really, really bad. There was an open hole (aside from the open hole in the shower) and the smell was absolutely awful - stagnent water or sewerage...or a mix of the two. I didn't bring it to the attention of the staff because I was so tired that I couldn't be bothered moving rooms - if they had one available. I covered the hole with my boots to minimise the smell and that helped it not to seep through into the bedroom.

Gostei do café da manhã. Servem uma vitamina de banana muito gostosa que pena que foi só uma vez. Gostei da Limpesa. E gostei do preço da água mineral de 2 litros.

Papel higiênico do quarto acabou e tive que comprar um. O banheiro poderia ter box. No café da manhã poderiam deixar uma mesa posta para o hóspede se servir. As escadas cansam muito.

Posizione comoda per il terminal bus e per il centro città.

Struttura molto anziana e con molte scale ripide. Necessità di importanti interventi di ammodernamento. Pulizia approssimativa. Si salva per la cortesia del personale , per il prezzo basso e la comodità per il terminal ed il centro.
